Hi all, this is my first post. We just adopted an adult cat a few weeks ago, and she has a few funny quirks.
One that just started a few days ago is this little sneeze attack that only happens in the evening. She sneezes about 3-5 times, sometimes more or less, then seems a bit dazed with slightly laboured breathing (like anyone after a bunch of sneezes in a row), then maybe a little cough and then back to normal. It's a fairly dusty apartment (lots of construction around) so I don't think the sneezing is a sign of illness or anything, I'm just puzzled as to why this little fit would happen at around the same time each day. The only change that coincides with this is a change to wood pellet litter, but if it's that, then why does it only happen at this particular time of day, and not when she is actually using the litter box?
I work from home, so I can confirm that she doesn't do this at all any other time of day, and has no other symptoms of respiratory problems. No eye/nose discharges, etc.
Any theories?
