Around Two to three weeks you can Socialize(handle) them expose them to everything hair dryers, washer machine, people, kids (supervised them) cars rides anything you can think of but don't scared them to death (keep it short at first around 5 to 15 minutes as they get older you can handle them more)

Around three or four weeks they will start walking
Actually, if all is normal and the mother will let you do it, it is a good idea to start handling the kittens as early as possible. You have to handle them to weigh them, which should be done within 24 hours of birth, and daily thereafter and even blind newborns quickly get used to the idea of being on a hand. Just a few seconds for weighing to start, and then gradually increase the time. The earlier they are handled the better they are socialised. Obviously, if the mother is distressed at seeing you do it then leave off, but if the mother trusts you then there is usually no problem. Do not let young children handle kittens - they do not understand how fragile a tiny creature is.

I was going to say, you can actually begin handling kittens immediately at birth and should usually do so to weigh them at a minimum, even if mom is a tiny bit distressed, because seeing if they are gaining weight is really important.  It is usually really not a problem though as long as you do everything very gently and slowly where mom can see you- most problems emerge when mom can't see what you are doing.

Exactly! You can't usually handle them much anyway because they will scream for mama when picked up after a few seconds, then mom gets nervous and stressed, so yes, short periods is best now.

Walking starts about 3 weeks, and gets perfected about 4 weeks where they're not so unstable.

Hopping, running is about 5 weeks.

They will be growing at an amazing rate!

I noticed the little dark grey one, has been opening his eyes, but this morning there was like eye boogers covering its eye and she couldn't open it. Does anyone have an idea about what this could be??

Can you post a picture or describe what this looks like. The safe thing to do when unsure is have the vet take a look.

Take a warm, damp wash cloth or cotton ball and very gently wipe its eyes to allow them to open. Possibly an eye infection that would require a topical antibiotic ointment applied, which would need to come from a vet.

Yes, I agree. Do this and see if it comes back.

Baby kittens quite often, more so than not even, will have a mild eye infection. Eye discharge is goopy and crusts when is out in the air.

Never try to pry an eye open!

A warm soft cloth that is good and damp held on the eye for a bit, then allow a minute or two for the crust to soften and allow the eye to open up, repeat this again but this time very gently wiping it away.

Terramycin is the solution, it's an antibacterial eye ointment that wipes out the infection quickly.

It is not a prescription but can also be purchased at the vet.

Since you have more than one baby, I suggest squeezing the tube on to a surface, then swiping up the amt you need with your finger, that way the tube is not contaminated, and also won't keep coming out of the tube once you stop squeezing it! Alot gets wasted from that!

Good luck, they are little darlings!!

I did what you said, with the rag and stuff. She opened her eyes by herself after that. It hasn't come back yet, but if it does I'll let you know. Thanks for all y'all's help!

Also, how can you tell if they're boys or girls? I think I can tell but I just want to be sure.

Oh it will come back, without the eye ointment.

Just continue doing what you did for her this time until you can get some terramycin.

If you have a usual vet you might even be able to call and request a tube.

Girls have a little hole right under their butt, boys have a bigger space in between.
