RIP CAESAR. no more suffering. Will post more later
I'm so sorry to hear that. RIP Caesar. Who knows how long that poor little boy would have suffered if you hadn't cared about him. I was hoping he'd get better.RIP CAESAR. no more suffering. Will post more later
You are that cat's angel and he knew it. He knew you were the one person who would be able to help him cross the bridge gently and with love. It sounds to me like he waited for you. He wanted you to be with him when he started his journey. I'm so sorry for your loss.A big thank you to everyone for your support and concern. Caesar was sitting against the wall of the now foreclosed house where I used to feed him and the others. When I first found Caesar today, he was barely moving and I thought he was already gone but he moved a tiny bit and I was relieved. He tried to walk up to me and meow but just a tiny sound came out and he almost slipped off the stepping stone but I caught him. He was still but once I picked him up he did try and jump away and was trying to bite me. I had gloves and a t-shirt wrapped around my arm so I was able to put him in a carrier. I had no ride at the time so we jumped in a taxi and luckily I got a very compassionate cat loving driver. I had a small wait because the vet was PACKED(it's a great place and one of the only(maybe even only)open on Sunday. He barely moved and at some points during the wait I thought he was gone. Once in back they took him out of the carrier and he tried to stand up but couldn't so he sat then laid on his side. I did have the vet give me his opinion just in case we could save him but he said Caesar was ready. He said Caesar was about 10yrs old(this adds to my suspicions that someone dumped him there), maybe older and had definitely been through some tough times. He was also missing some teeth and now appeared to have multiple organs failing. The vet said he didn't have much longer and wouldn not have lasted through the next 24hrs I held Caesar until he passed and I will also be getting his ashes back. He was a very loving kitty and would run up to me when I called him. Rest little Caesar. Thanks again everyone.
