Hi everyone.

I have a new issue with my guy..

I was petting Artie this morning and felt a tiny pimple like structure about 2.5 inches behind his ear. It felt like a skin tag. Is that possible? I never felt anything like this before.

I tried to look at it, but he each time I got close to parting the fur over this area, he would get antsy.

I do not think it is bothering him.  It is not painful, or noticeable to him.

I hate to take him to the Vet over this. He was just there last month. His blood tests in January were pretty good..

Any thoughts?  Besides keeping watch on this and if it enlarges or he starts noticing it to then take him to the Vet...

Artie is an 11 year old neutered male...

Thanks

I've not seen it in cats, but my greyhound (13) has skin tags (some of them have even progressed to lumps). They've mostly appeared as he's got older. In his case they're not a problem. Just be aware than skin tags can be benign or malignant. If he seems fine with it, just keep an eye on him. Like moles on people, if it gets bloody, itchy, crusty or grows quickly definitely get him to a vet to check it out.

It feels solid....almost like a pimple, or a tiny nipple....

I would not have even noticed it except I was rubbing him pretty good.....
