I have a cat that I adopted as a kitten. He is a indoor/outdoor, and has been neutered. Recently another cat comes around at night and attacks my cat. He came in the other day with a bald spot, and puncture wound on his front knee. Is the only option I have is to trap the other cat? And if so, what next?

Trapping and neutering the feral cat would be a good idea, but you cat is at risk from all kinds of danger if you let him go out alone, particularly at night. Could you make him an outdoor enclosure or cat proof your back yard? How about teaching him to walk on a harness? There are so many things out there that can hurt or kill your kitty, it's really not safe to let him roam.

I agree on the TNR but I would add that if you can afford it, and the cat is indeed an intact male, ask the vet to try giving him a hormone shot to help ease the aggressiveness. It can take a few weeks for the male hormones to ease up enough to reduce spraying and attacking other cats, both behaviors could earn the strange cat some serious enemies!!!! you will be helping both cats
