My 6 month old kitten was spayed today. I've had her home for about 6 hours now. She's been groggy and sleepy like the vet said but she is not drinking any water. She finally ate about a half a can of cat food but when I show her the water she walks away. I have given her fresh water like always and even tried putting some on her mouth to maybe get her to lick it off and she won't. She's still walking kind of funny and has some with/blueish gunk like stuff in the inner corner of her eyes. Maybe I am just being too worried of a mom but I'm hoping someone can reassure me its normal. Thanks in advance!

Many cats fed canned food drink little or no additional water, so it's not worrying that she's not drinking. The grogginess after anesthesia is also normal. Vets usually apply ointment to a pet's eyes prior to surgery to prevent them from drying out, which would account for the gunk around her eyes. She'll clean it off herself when she's fully awake.
