Does anyone else feels special when you receive a purraise from site owner Anne?

Oh, gosh.  It makes me happy when anyone gives me purraise.  

I am happy when i get a purraise from anyone too but for some reason i just feel special when i get one from anne

I like and have a great deal of respect for Anne.   Yes, I agree it is very nice purraise from her.

I feel very special whenever anyone gives me purraise. I never actually gave myself purraise, so I don't know how different it would be 

I think it's a great system and I hope people remember to use it more often. It's a nice free way to make someone feel good and it helps surface better content. Purraise often, fellow members!

I think I love giving them as much as getting them!!!! It makes me feel good to make someone else feel noticed and that their contribution is important to us here!!! YES - Purraise away !!!!! :bigthumb:

That's fine as long as you feel these posts contribute to TCS. The contribution can be in terms of presenting members with more or better knowledge of cat, or just people being very nice and supportive. Well thought-out posts, preferably with helpful content, are what I find to be a quality contribution to the community most of the time (there are exceptions though!)

Yes, like anyone else, getting a purraise makes one feel appreciated and that what one has to post is worthwhile reading. I thank each and every one of them, just wanted you cat lovers to know how much I appreciate.

Why other people not allow to see other people purraise? Is it because we may get jealous?

It's a bit more complicated but in a nutshell, we want to avoid popularity contests.

Hmmm I guess a lot depends on the context. As a rule, PM's are not monitored so you could do whatever you want. However, if a member complains about being bothered by certain PM's we may step in at that point.

It means a all purraise votes by a single user are counted as one. If member X gave you nine purraise votes and member Y gave you one, then you have a total of ten purraise but only two unique purraise votes.
