My cat gwen had been eating fancy feast dry cat food for years an I would say about 5 months ago I stopped feeding her that and went to natures balanceShe has been fine on that . But I was wondering why all of a sudden when I went back to that food she throw it up. She likes fancy feast better and does not eat much of the natures balanceWhat could be in this food that is making her throw up.

how did you change the food? Did you transition her slowly or just change it all at once?

Perfectly fine if she just wants to eat the wet.

What formula of natural balance are you feeding and what formula of fancy feast were you trying?

Many cats can't handle the food coloring that's in so many dry foods. Vomiting is a common reaction. If you want to try a cheaper food, find one without food coloring, like Purina One or Cat Chow Naturals. Or you can ask for samples of the higher-quality foods from the pet store. . .see if you can find one she likes.

But, yes, the canned food is better for her so it's OK if she just can't handle dry food anymore.

My cats are just the opposite .. My male gets diarrhea  and female vomits from eating any formula of Fancy Feast canned . I have fed them several different varieties and the result is always the same ..So I no longer feed it to them .. Since they will not eat any other wet foods they  just eat a high quality grain free kibble .. No diarrhea or vomiting .

Stewball that is very interesting I never thought of grain free. My dog is on grain free. I think I will go tomorrow and look. Is there grain free wet food too? Gwen has been throwing up just a little on the wet. She only throws up at night. When we all go to bed at night. I do leave food out at night so she does not ask me for her treats. My rugs are a mess . I need to get them cleaned so bad.

Try a couple of cans of Nutro natural choice chunky chicken ( it is Pate) or turkey chunky loaf, non grain, no carageenan and cats love the flavor![emoji]10084[/emoji]️[emoji]128062[/emoji][emoji]128077[/emoji]
