Hello everyone. I have a cat that's having her first litter any day. Its my first to and have no clue what's going on. I have been reading things on the internet about temperature (witch dropped from 102 to 99.5 today) I set her up a birthing box but she sleeps on me every night, always has. question is what's the chance ill wake with kittens in my bed? Lol

If you don't want her having kittens on you, you could try sleeping next to the nesting box and hope she will have them there instesd

The box is next to my bed , its been there for two weeks now. I put her in it at the time and I put her food in there too. She just goes where I go, bathroom, kitchen and so on. I think she see's me as her true mother I raised her from birth and has been attached at my hip. This waiting game and changes are driving me crazy everyday is something new

Good the nest is prepared, but as you say, its quite possible the kittens will be delivered in your bed, perhaps even literally on your lap.

Quite a few cats do see us, not only as their Ma, but also literally, as their momma.    :)

Here comes our links, you will perhaps find them useful.

Good luck!

Most of these links have been readied by our forumist  Red Top Rescue:

She does seem on edge this morning not eating , won't let me rub past her ribs Almost like she's mad lol. So I haven't checked the temp this morning. What do you think? Oh and like this photo I just took she keeps propping her end up like she's mating hummmmm? Lol

Does she seem distressed? If so you should probably err on the side of caution and check in with your vet.

Otherwise, basically, it just seems like her time is very soon and there is little for you to do right now but watch and wait. Do keep an eye on her if you can in case she becomes distressed or needs help during the birth.

Good luck and vibes!

She doesn't seem distressed. She keeps moving changing spots to sleep. Hard to keep with her without stalking her. I think this soon she keeps going to the bathroom but not really going lol

She doesnt seem very big. Much smaller than is the high fashion here on this forum!   :)

She  perhaps has dropped too?

Anyways, if she accepts belly rub, so do it, rub and give massage.  Its nice, and help somewhat with the preparations forward.

It's not her time yet. If she is acting normal and not in distress you should just wait.

I wanted to have her checked out cause of the discharge but your right the vet said the babies are moving its just her body getting ready for the birth and it will be any day just have to keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't smell bad or she catch fever cause that could be infection.
