My kitten will be 5 months old next week - I did post part of her issue somewhere else on here..

My issue is that she seems  to gag/burp after she eats. This has been pretty much since I brought her home at 8 weeks old. I thought it was from her eating too fast because she eats way too fast, but I now feed her 6 times a day and while it has slowed a bit by not happening after every meal, it still happens a couple times a day. Always after eating. I feed wet food only and I have now switched foods 4 times. She does fart a couple of times a day too. I know that she was originally from a hoarder house, but I got her from a foster home. My vet doesn't know what it is, I can't afford xrays or a scope right now. She is up to date on shots and her stool is fine. No parasites.

She has never vomited. Oh and sometimes she does this weird sneeze thing where spittle comes out (like a sneeze) and smells like food. She then licks that up. I thought that had stopped since the recent switch (last Friday) but it happened again today,

I am hoping that someone has been through this and maybe she will outgrow this?

Thanks

Most of my 4 cats burp after eating, no matter how fast or how slow they eat.  I'm not too concerned about that.  The gas could be directly related to what you're feeding her.  What does she eat?  Also, gas can be an indication of worms, even if she's been treated previously.

I also forgot to mention that I  have tried pure pumpkin and it didn't help - First she was on Wellness, then I tried Merrick, then Wellness Core and I just transitioned her on to Natural Balance. She just started it completely last Friday. At one point I worried it was my fault because when I brought her home I just put her straight on wet and didn't continue to give her the dry food they had her on. I figured at 8 weeks old, that would be fine. Others have tried to assure me that it is likely not because of that.

I have never had a cat on an all wet diet, so I don't know if this is normal or not. Or can be considered normal in some.. The gagging freaks me out. It's not after every meal, but like I said, it is every day. A friend suggested that while she was dewormed and tested, that I should ask the vet to test for uncommon parasites as well, especially considering the environment she was born into.
