Thank you for clicking on my post. I'm asking for advices from all you kind cats moms and dads. Alex, my 11-month-old girl tested positive on Felv when 2 months old. In the past 3 days a soft and big bump was growing under her chin, besides the 2 enlarged lump nodes on her shoulder, which had grown for nearly 2 months. What's worse, her face is swollen, and her eyes are discharged and watery. Although her appetite is not suppressed, her head seems too heavy to hold up, and she becomes lethargic and reclusive. I'm asking for advices on the following questions.

1. Does a cat have swollen face and watery eyes when growing lymphoma? I'm assuming it's lymphoma, because the lump node on her right shoulder looks bigger than the left side.

2. Do I consider of a visit of a oncologist, rather than a second visit of the holistic vet? I wish I could afford two vets. The situation is that for a week she has been taking several liquid remedies and Congaplex, a nutritious supplement from holistic vet, and she seems not respond to these medicines. In the meanwhile, she has been taking prednisone from a conventuals vet for over a month. Her cough stopped since on prednisone and gained some weight back.

3. I'm reading other treatments and supplements, such as interferon and transfer factor. I'm also reading discussions on colloidal silver for Felv. You may say it is necessary to talk to a vet for treatments. I just get confused with the vets we've visited. They offer different plans. To me if there's a hope I do not give up. But I don't know how much time I have for trails.

The following paragraphs are the details of her symptoms and treatments in the past 2 months.

- In Feburary she started a dry-sound cough. Vet gave her an antibiotic shot.

- Two weeks later her cough didn't stop and sounded wet. Another vet said that two lump nodes on her shoulders were enlarged, and there was a mass in her chest which caused her coughing, seen on her X-Ray. He gave us a bottle of prednisone to take orally, a dose per day.

- She has been on prednisone since, and never coughs again. However, the two lump nodes continued growing and looked big. Two weeks later we took her to a holistic vet for help. The vet gave her a B-12 shot there, 5 liquid remedies (Felv nosode, Phos, Ars. Alba, Silicea, and liver allergy), and Congaplex to take daily at home.

- It has been a week since the last visit. She now has been taking prednisone, remedies and Congaplex.

- 3 Days ago a bump under her chin appeared, with a swollen face and discharged eyes. We are now collecting ideas from cats parents and may visit a vet.

Please share me your thoughts and stories. Thank you very much for help.

Would you be able to do chemo treatments on her, should you see an oncologist? If so, seeing an oncologist is the way I would go.

And, I'm sad to say, I think you also need to really consider her quality of life. Despite a good appetite, seclusion herself and not being able to hold her head not (and the facial swelling) are very concerning, as I am sure you know.
