I have a beautiful black and white queen who is due in 10 days! I am very excited for this litter, Her first litter ended up all different colors. 1 black girl, 2 fluffy dark tabby girls (One was still born), 1 light brown tabby and white girl, and 1 black and white boy. She hasn't really found a spot to give birth yet and my grandma is allergic to cat fur so she can't be outside. I have a pet taxi, would that be okay for the kittens and her to stay in? I'm pretty sure I can, but her half-sister is pregnant too...

The pet taxi should be ok, as long she feel safe in it, start leaving it out so she can go in it and all that. A cardboard box works great, just as long it larger then her and can fit the kittens too

That is a lotsa of cats if you arent a breeder...   Sorry for mentioning it already now, but if you arent a breeder, we want to propose some visits to your vet,  and even spaying / neutering, as soon as the kittens are weaned.

Also, spayed/neutered cats are less dangerous for your allergic grandma.  Fertile cats and small kittens provokes allergy easiest.

Re this litter you mention.  The genetic division is as follows:  She is a carrier of recessive longhaired gene.  And so was the tom  This would give 1-2 longhaired kittens of 6..  Her black and white pattern is fairly dominant, but the tabby gene is even stronger.  But not all kittens got to be tabby, just about half. Thus, the tom was a tabby, but only one of the genes in this allele,= this gene-pair, was tabby. the other was something else.  Thus, only half of the kittens got this tabby gene and hereby are tabbies    The other half got this other, more recessive gene, and thus got their pattern mainly from mom.

Re the pet taxi  (a sort of big carrying bag for cats or small dogs),   I do agree with MrWallaces suggestions.

Good luck!

I send also our links re being high preg etc.

Most of these links have been readied by our forumist  Red Top Rescue:

We have a good collection of articles in the Cat Health section which you can access by scrolling up to the brown bar, clicking on Articles, and then choosing the Cat Health section and scrolling through the choices.  To make this super easy for you, I am copying the links regarding birth, delivery and newborns for you here.  After reading this information, let us know if you have any more questions.  And good luck with your approaching new arrivals.

She's panting hard core right and she is three days past her 60 day mark. She's drinking a lot of water too and still panting.

It may be some precontractions, but it may be beginning of the real labor too...   We will see tomorrow morning!

Good luck!

She is still pregnant. 65 days now, she started shivering really badly earlier, but nothing really.

Yes she had them around 4 this morning. I was worried I'd have to take her to the vet for a C-section. She has four healthy kittens. Two boys (one a tabby and the other black), one girl (black and white), and one that I can't tell for sure yet, but I'm pretty sure it may be a tom (dark gray and white).

Congratulations! I know you must be relieved that she finally had the kittens, and that they are all healthy! Let us know if you have any further questions. :)

It doesn't look like she lost much weight, could there still be a kitten in there? I felt around and I think there might be, but it could just be her waste.. I just don't know.

There are likely no more kittens inside. Mama will retain a bit of body fat for nursing. She will not get her figure back until the kittens are weaned, and even then, it may be a bit more "mature". That is the struggle of all females who have babies, except feral cats, who may be undernourished and their kittens small. ;)
