What being in labor really feels like

People, this is why you call your Mother on Mother's Day! 

I didn't read through all of them. I couldn't take it after the "It felt like gnomes putting my abdomen in a vise". 

Does anyone have any funny or interesting childbirth/labor stories?

My labour wasn't that bad. I had a pain that the epidural wasn't helping but otherwise it wasn't that bad. The nurse had to have her hand on my stomach to feel my contractions and let me know when to push because I couldn't feel them much. The actual birth...that's a whole other horrible painful story.

My first birth was a csection and it sucked. That was very painful and even though it was over in 1 hour compared to my 14.5 hour labour, I prefer the natural way.
