Both my kittens were spayed and declawed on Monday, they both have been resting a lot but moving about and eating and using the litter box fine. One still appears to be having some difficulty walking. Using her paws very tentative and not jumping practically at all. They both have been taking pain medication every twelve hours but had their last dose today.
This is new to me and I just want to get some idea if this is normal recovery and how long before she is okay. Thanks!

Welcome to TCS. First off, you should know that TCS is strongly anti-declaw. However, it is my hope that you would come away understanding the declawing process more and why there are kinder alternatives.

I don't have experience caring for declawed cats, however, we do have an article for post-surgery complications here:

I hope your kitties recover soon.

All cats have post op pain when declawed, but if your cat has pain longer than expected (pain meds are running out) then i would call your vet and explain what is going on.  They may want to examine the claws and/or extend the pain medication.
