Does anyone know what these are? She has one at the end of her mouth on both sides.

When she was a kitten, they were pink and as she's growing older, they're becoming darker.

They vet I took her to doesn't know what it is and wasn't concerned about it when I asked.

Have attached photos of them when she was a kitten and what it looks like today.

Much thanks for taking the time!

Hmm!

If they are on both sides, I might be inclined to think it's a physical anomaly.

I have had a cat that had a face ... freckle? if you will, on her nose, and her brother had them on the edges of his eyes,

and they became darker as they aged - her nose freckle is now completely black.

But they were not raised bumps, as your cat seems to have.

Perhaps she was injured by catching her mouth in ribbon or twine and damaged the crook of her mouth symmetrically, causing some scar tissue to build.  It might have been a kitten incident nobody observed.

A long shot - but it's all I can think of.  Spit-ballin' ...

My sister's All-black cat once got both her wrists caught as the garage door she was perched on pinched down at the seam.

The injury healed, but she forever had a line of white across both wrists, as the injury damaged the pigment/hair follicle.... on those wrists....

Does she groom those spots more than typical?  Seem like it itches?

Have you palpitated it to see how hard it is?  Seem liquid filled, or mostly skin build up?

Does it hurt her to squeeze it gently?

I'd almost suggest an imbedded tick - but it wouldn't stay like that for this long ... and both sides simultaneously hardly seems logical ...

I truly hope they are benign, but I think you should get a second opinion, maybe another vet at vaccination time? They could be some type of tumor that is harmless, especially where they don't seem to be bothering her, but it would be nice top know for sure. My vet always says to be concerned if they get larger, at least your kitty's haven't changed much except in color. Keep us posted, I'm curious now as to what it is. All the luck!

It looks to me like normal cat anatomy.  All cats have a "bump" on the side of the mouth in approximately the area you show, its just usually hidden my the skin.

Now that you mention it, my cats' mouths do have somewhat of a raised little area in each corner, just not as prominent as Zunxin's cat.

And the changing pigment as I mentioned ma also be "normal".
