Hi Rukia - and thank you SOOOOOO much for taking in this poor little momma stray. boy - she certainly knew which house to come to for help. Your a saint to be helping her and her unborn kittens. :hugs:

I wanted to add in some more reading. :lol3: Along with what Stefan already posted for you.

I hope that you have a good place that can help you get all of these cats and kittens neutered. You mention that you have another pregnant cat too!!! My goodness, you are going to have your hands full.

Hope these informative and educational kitten care articles help:

Thank you. I just felt like who would want to have their babies in the dirt and all the elements That could harm them. Nothing deserves that.

And I totally agree with ya. I took what I thought was a stray in last year. It ended up being the neighbors in the back but they didn't take care of him really.

Its surely the so called drop, when the kittens go into the birthing channels, and yes, they seems less pregnant.   :)

Good luck!

All my best to you and helping these momma cats with their babies. :vibes::hugs::vibes: that all goes smoothly!!!!

Below is a link in case you need to find a local organization/vet to help with costs of getting care for these cats. You can even make some calls to a local Trap/Neuter/Return organization (TNR Organization) and they will be more than happy to help you with getting these cats all spayed/neutered. Some may even have options for foster homes or humane societies that can take on the kittens once they are all weaned. It always helps to have the support of such places. If you are financially strapped, they may even help you for no charge at all or at the very least a minimal fee, if anything.

You can easily google TNR Organization (and your county) to locate a place to start. It is not just for "feral" cats - friendly strays as well and their kittens. The goal of these organizations is to decrease the feral cat population so they are extremely willing to help people such as yourself in their communities. They also have many branches and resources to direct you to IF they can't help you at this time.

:vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes: for the kittens and a big hug for you. :grphug: :grphug2:

That is a very pretty cat! She must be sooo relieved to know she has a clean, safe place to birth her kittens and raise them. I recently took in a pregnant stray, and now have 4 adorable 3-week-old kittens. I too could not imagine this cat having her litter in dirt or bushes, with no regular food either. She is so sweet & loving, & I plan to spay her keep her like you. Bless you for taking in this stray, pregnant mama cat!

I think stefanZ is probably right, the kittens dropping down and the birthing getting closer was the first thing coming to my mind when you said she looked smaller @rukia222  .

She is such a pretty cat and I can't wait to see her kittens.  Sending loads and loads of positive vibes for everything going well in the coming days.

Some red colored "brownish" discharges arent uncommon, both before and after delivery.  What we dont want is real blood, and especially not - real blood more than some few small drops.

I think it is like human babies, that things tend to go quieter just before the birth so fingers crossed all is still well and she is going to go in to labour soon.  If she seems unwell and distressed I would call a vet though.

Thanks guys yeah I've been doing reading on everything I can get my hands on and if I've seen and felt babies then my guess is no longer than another week since I've had her a week and could already see and feel them the day she came to us. She sleeps constantly I've never seen a cat sleep more I mean like 22 hours a day lol
