On top if having a pregnant cat of my own due any day guess who shows up on my door step filthy and crying yes another momma cat. I just brought her in she's very round no hair on her nipples at all I can feel kittens but cannot see them just wondering how far along she might be. Oh boy do I have my work cut out for me. She's also moody as all get out. Wants to be petted then bites. Then the whole process starts again. She seems very hungry won't let us touch her belly for very long. Here are some pics.

Update just talked to a neighbor and she said the cat has been around here for about six weeks and she said six weeks ago she wasn't visibly pregnant she had been feeding her I guess. We live kinda in the country so maybe someone dumped her I don't know but I'm thinking maybe 7 weeks. If I sit here and stare at her belly I see slight movement but very slight almost not there I told my neighbor I would keep her in till babies are born and spay her and try to rehome everyone. We already have a pregnant cat due by Saturday If timing is right and she will be spayed as well but we are keeping her. No more strays for me as I already know this will cost me but I'm a huge animal lover and can't just put her back out. People are so stupid not to spay their animals she looks miserable.

What a pretty little cat, thank you so much for taking her in.  I'm afraid I can't offer any advice to you on her pregnancy but wish you well in taking care of her and hope things go smoothly for both of the kitty mommas you are taking care of.

I hope others who have the information you need see your thread soon.

Thanks a bunch she is pretty sweet she's been sleeping all day not wanting to really do much. Even e'en my kids played with her she seemed irritated but would stand up and lay right back down. But I'm guessing about 7 weeks though

Yes hopefully stefanz or catwoman707 will see this thead, they will be able to give the advice you need

I say she 9 weeks and since she is licking herself, she might have them within 48 hours, is she producing milk? Can you check? Is she restless? Is she meowing alot?

Do you have nesting boxes ready for both cats?

She's not restless I mean she keeps moving around on the bed trying to get comfortable but that's all I see. And yes I have four boxes because I have another female due so I gave her four options and she has already picked one in the closet so Now there are three left but she likes it under the bed or on my bed let's hope she picks a good spot. I have her in my room because her and our other momma Def don't get along. Also no milk but her nipples are long and when I push on them white stuff comes to the top but not actually out of the nipple. And not to be gross but her bottom is much bigger than my other cat no discharge or anything but I'm not a cat expert so I don't know about anatomy if some are bigger than others. Thanks so much and maybe they will have some advise for Mr later on.

Yes definitely thank u
Right.  Re the time.  You can begin to feel them about two weeks before delivery, perhaps almost 3 if you are observant.

The last day or two before delivery they drop, seems less big, and you dont feel the kittens as clearly.

So I think she is in either of these postions.   I dont see you stating clearly how long she has been with you, how long you could follow the development.  If it was alike, yesterday, it may even be the second variation, she has dropped and its literally just hours left.

Other indiciea are she has begin to get some milk, and she has picked up useful nesting places...

And yes, do separate the moms, especielly as they arent best friends.

Let her also sleep if she so wants.  She needs her rest and sleep, now when the worst stress of being high preg and homeless is over.   Its good your kids are positively interested in her, and she is apparently liking kids, but I suspect she is accepting their caresses at this moment is partly, as a try to please herself in.  she knows she is the underdog in this situation, and her children need a safe place at all costs.  So she does copy with the situation, and let herself be played with.  Although she would much prefer to sleep and prepare for the birth.

Your childrens great moment will come a little later on, when its time to get the kittens socialized to be used with children.   :)

For now its enough they are near her, talking sweetly, and perhaps stroking her fur some.

Im sure you are giving her good and nourishing food!

Tx a lot for caring!

Im sending our links, hope you have use for them!

Good luck!

You saw I did wrote some more?

Did you noticed if she has suddenly got lesser than  when she appeared?

Anyways, this hard belly is too an indicium.  I think she is nearing, very close to the delivery.

Good luck!
