Recently a young stray cat showed up at my house she was so friendly I decided to keep her however she was pregnant. My best guess she is about due to have the kittens but she has been throwing up all day. A total of 7 times so far. She has been eating very well to the point she ripped into a new bag of cat food I had sitting on the floor. There are no house plants or anything else she can get into. Is this normal? Should I keep all of the food out of her reach or let her eat what she wants? I'm very new to this so any advice is welcome. And yes she will be spayed after this as well as all the kittens when they are old enough. It just didn't seem right to have her spayed while she was already pregnant.

This isnt good so you must be vigilant, if there are more symptoms.  And so she doenst loose too much fluids and electrolytes.

Here Im thinking on two different variations.   Some of our forumites do tells their high preg is throwing up several times a day.  Im telling them as to you, be vigilant, contact a vet if you do have access to one - you dont want her to get sevelry sick at this moment.  but usually there are no real problems.   Its seldom it is something really serious, two day later we get reports on a happy outcome.   So apparently this happens often naturally.  It IS of course touch, they CAN get sick for real, although hight preg.  So be vigilant...

Next version, it may be too much rich and fat foot at once, if she isnt used to such good food earlier.

And thus, try to find something mild for her.  Do you have possibly access to goat milk?  Raw is best, but botlled is OK.   Full fat unsweetened mild youghurt is good.

And any other cat food which you know is nourishing but yet mild.

Exacty what cat food did she gets?

Im also sending some of our usual links.

Please come with reports and further questions!

Good luck!

Thank you! I have been reading everything I can get my hands on. I have been feeding her 9 lives since she showed up and some plain baked chicken as a treat a few times a week. Although if you have a suggestion on a better food that would be great. The 9 lives doesn't seem to really fill her up.Either that or she knows I'm a sucker and if she acts hungry enough I'll make her some chicken.

I don't have access to goats milk but I can get yoghurt.

I've made her a bed in a tipped over collapsible laundry basket. She lays in it if I'm in the room but as soon as i move she is up and at my feet. However this isn't new behavior. Since I let her come in the house she barley lets me out of her sight.

I will keep you updated! Thank you again!
