I came here because I never tire of talking about cats.  This is actually my third attempt to write this intro post as one cat jumped on the keyboard and typed in gibberish and after I got him back on the floor my other boy jumped up and deleted the whole thing.  He is now on my lap being rewarded with ear scritches:)

Anyway, I'm a crazy cat lady married to a crazy cat guy.  We have three cats.  Our oldest, Choo, is a DLH with IBS/food allergies that we adopted a little over a year ago after our previous cat died (I'm still in terrible morning for her).  The second cat, Matty, was taken in as a foster because he was terrified of everything and everyone at the shelter.  Some on my shift believed that he'd never come around and would end up being untouchable but I worked and worked with him and now he is one of the sweetest love-bugs I've ever known.  We kept him because he did so well with us and our cat Choo really bonded to him.  Our third cat just came to us a few weeks ago.  He was one of the "at large" cats we were feeding over winter.  He and the other hood cats had a rough rough winter outdoors in temps as low as 2 or 3 degrees.  The third cat was nicknamed "Mr. Friendly" as he was the only one who would approach us for pets.  We kept the name and call him Friendly for short.  Mr. Friendly has made a smooth transition into the house although he has had some urination issues that are not medically related.  Our vet has a theory that he had been abandoned because he has a behavioral issue with peeing outside boxes.  We are currently actively working on the issue and we refuse to give up on this sweet little guy.

Welcome! It's so amazing of you to take in these cats and nurture them with love. They deserve it and you deserve all the praise too!

Welcome, I'm new here too . I felt it was important to stop and say hi because I know how I feel every time someone does for me.

As for being a crazy cat lady I an one too. So I think I speak for most here when I say you're in good company.

Thank you for the welcomes everyone:)  I believe that when you love a cat you eventually become a crazy cat person.  You can totally be a crazy cat lady or man with just one cat.  It's all about how active you are with them.  Some people are happy just to feed the cat and occasionally play with it and others (the crazies)  need much more involvement and go that extra step to make sure their animals are truly their best cat selves.
