I believe that all cats are geniuses, but does anyone know of a particular breed that is known for having superior intelligence? I'm guessing Siamese, maybe?

I really have no idea or how it would be measured.  I am guessing that people would think that kitties who are very connected to and interactive with people is a very intelligent kitty.  Using that measure a breed like the Siamese whose usual nature is to be connected and vocal with their people would be thought of as intelligent.  I think those traits are also common with the Abyssinian.

Maine Coons are supposed to be the most intelligent domestic cat breed, with the intelligence of a human 3 year-old, which is pretty intelligent compared to other animals.  I've had several mixed ones, and one purebred (Jasmine), but I don't think the mixed guys are extraordinary in this area, but Jazzy, oh, boy! I miss her so much. My little buddy...

I have a feeling that everyone thinks their cat/cat breed is the most intelligent ;)

With that said, it really depends on what you consider intelligence. I think that Siamese and Abyssinians are generally considered some of the smartest cats because they are easy to train and often "problem solve" for themselves very well (like escaping the house and getting treats out of closets).

I have an Aby and he is not smart at all. I think I got a defective one
My Aby is way too curious for his own good.

Yes, lots of people think the breed they like best is the smartest lol

Russian Blues have been known to teach themselves tricks, like unlocking and opening a door, playing fetch, etc. They can also easily be taught tricks by humans. (lots of them anyway.)

The Nebelung is basically just a longhaired version of the Russian Blue, so it shares the same mind.

The russian blue was mixed with the siamese and british blue after ww2.

Siamese are very much like humans, some smart, some...not.

My mother grew up with lots and lots and lots of siamese, some were extremely intelligent, some were quite idiotic. Some were affectionate towards everyone, and some chose one family member to love and acted snobby towards everyone else.

Bengals have become quite famed for learning tricks

If you go to nana border collie's youtube channel, her bengal cat Kaiser does advanced tricks that people assumed only dogs could master. Even backflips.

(the person also trains rats and ferrets, haha.)

Persians are considered quite smart, but they are not streetwise.

Most breeds are intelligent in their own way.

I've had five cats all of them moggies , but the two black and white ones are the smartest cats I've had out of the five .

My late Merlin was the cleverest cat I've known he could open doors and tell the time , he knew to the second when it was meal time.

He could talk too in a cat way , he would sit at the side of you chatting away , tapping you with his paws he would chatter like this for ages as if he was telling you his life storey.

Ruby is shaping up to be just as bright as Merlin was , she's already learning French and Latin
