I'm new here . I only found this site a week ago and have read everything I could, every free minute. My husband now thinks I'm nuts. lol but all your stories really helped me. I have always taken care of every cat I find( or they find me) even as a very young child. But that is very very out of the norm where I live. Everyone thinks I'm nuts. Maybe I am but if I can even help them a little bit I don't care what people think of me. And I just thank god my husband has a very soft heart. because right now we have 8 cats and 2 dogs. All the cats were "found". We live out in the country so thankfully we have lots of land even for the ones who aren't okay being inside. It just becomes too much sometimes . People from miles away Will drop cats off here and sometimes though them out cars as they pass by. Not even counting the ones thatfind us or the bad off babies we find in town. we are low income but we still always find a way and have great homes for many cats over the years. But there are some we can't save and they have all passed in my arms hearing my voice and my tears. I Never I my wildest dreams knew their were so many people like you out there around the world doing the same thing!!!! So THANKS you can never know how much y'all have helped me and many many more cats to come I hope just by telling your own stories. Thank. Thanks and thank y'all again. My heart feels lighter than I ever remember.

Welcome aboard.

There are a lot of us trying to help the stray and feral cats in our neighbourhoods. You're not alone, we're always here whenever you need advice or just want to talk to like-minded people about what's going on.

Thank you for all you are doing.

Thanks again for the warm welcome.   I'm going to post some pictures today if I can figure it out. lol .  I forgot to count the 3 kittens and their mom in my last post.  My cousin woke me up about 2 1/2 mths ago with the smallest lil siamese mix in her hands. she lives across the street from me , only house on the right side of the whole street, crying about it just running right to her at her boyfriend's house and how she couldn't leave it there all the people around his house are known cat killer at  best she would die without food. She knew she couldn't keep it because they have 4 big dogs who run after cats.   I didn't even have to answer my husband did " what's 1 more at least she'll be easy to find a home for"  so into the bathroom she went. Well long story short she was not 3-4 mths old and guess what she's going to a mom. I found her owner and was told we could keep her . She was an accident the woman breeds siamese and she never tried to home her because if anyone found out her pure cat had a mix litter no one would buy her cats. She had ran off and found my cousin a week or so later. So now my teenage daughter has 4 very cute siamese cats in her room 3 are about 2 weeks old. Lol   so I guess we have 13 for a little while.     .

As my husband likes to say what's one more at least they will be easy to find homes for.

Thank y'all for the welcome it just warms my heart reading the stories here.  How can anyone keep going where it feels like it's just one big heartache after another?     By seeing that even  when it looks like you are alone your not . God bless everyone one this site and the many others who are doing the same thing.

We all keep going because we remember all that heartache and pain and how alone and heartsick we were. It helps so much to share the pain with people who can truly understand. I think you are an angel on earth to help so many in need, you will surely be blessed for your kindness!

. Marie we found out she was really a he . Lol
Marie is a quite common male name in France. Often as second name, but still.      :)   Take for example the german writer  Erich Maria Remarque.   I suspect he has a French ancestry souding by the last name.

What is the color of his eyes?  Is it possibly blue?

Wow sorry still trying to learn the site I would love a badge!!!  I did post on the thread about them as some one else said I should is there any thing else I should do? I just read all 12 pages. lol . Thank y'all again.

Thanks also for pointing out I miss that.  looking back at it I don't know how I did. Maybe it's time for new glasses.

My little girl named him ,I'll have to let her know. She will be happy to hear it , she feels bad about it. But he seems to like it and won't answer to anything else. Yes he's eyes are the lightest blue I have ever seen. We don't know anything about he's mom or dad my husband found him and 3 others doing yard work in the back. They're eyes weren't open all the way so when no mom showed up all day in they came . Found homes for all but him . We knew he was staying. He  has a pointed look  white with pink/ cream ears tail and his feet to but way lighter. I never seen anything like him and his siblings before or after.

He is called a Flame Point Siamese mix.

Peach tips, cream body, blue eyes.

So he has some Siamese in his genes :)

Marie, Mario, whatever!
 Handsome guy!

Right, that is what I suspected.   Either this, otherwise he would be some sorts Van Patterned, with somewhat unusual color.  But the blue eyes reveal him in 100%.

He is mitted, ie he has white too.  Essentially a bi-color.   That is why his masque on the face isnt clearly visible.

Were his littermates points too?  If so, at least one of the parents must have been a point for real - the other a carrier, but possibly both were points.

If just he was a point, none of the parents need to be point themselves,  can be enough if they are carriers of this recessvie point gene.

You do happen to have quite a menagerie, almost an exhibition!

Two different pretty points, one a precious tortoise-shell with big ears at that, and one somewhat look alike a russian blue - or if you so wish, a Maltese cat.

Sometimes you get rewarded for your good deeds already here on Earth, already here in this life.  Not all must wait to the afterlife to get their rewards.     :)

Thank y'all for all the kind words.

I also believe that cats have someone or something that looks out for and guides them. There is no other way they would find me and all of you amazing people who help and take care of them and each other on this site.  How else would a sick kitten know to walk right in my open front door having never seen me before or an old hungry cat know to just jump in my car from a store parking lot?

Flame point I'll look into that because I've never heard that name before. He does talk like a siamese. Crazy thing he is a big kitten always playing, sleeping or eating. He is my little girl's cat I think both became close when she helped bottle feed him. It was her first time learning how, and thankfully all 4 lived . I I know y'all know how unlikely that is

Funny thing about the name Marie boy cat my little girl just pointed out. It's perfect it's a common name in France because where we live most people speak Cajun. It started out the same. France sent people to start a colony here because of swamps, alligators, and having to live hard lives no one else want our state. Even when the USA was able to buy the land not many were willing to live here. Until my mom was in school and kids would get the paddle for not speaking English. Everyone down here still spoke that same language. Most of us around my age ( in their 30s) speak a Cajun- English language. Cut up sentence with every other work going but from one to the other.but we can't read of write most Cajun only English cause they teach us in school. So he fits in perfect down here. Lol

Yes all 4 were just like him. I wish we could have found mom or dad we looked for days and no one went missing af ours plus they were all fixed. If someone would have left them here they would have been found in the front not the back.

We just did what we do and they were all four very happy, never even made a sound unless we were feeding them. His 3 siblings people gave money for and didn't even care when I started asking for numbers and addresses. Lol  they raised money for a mths food for our other cats .

That was a blessing in my eyes.
