FIV/Anemia

My neutered, male cat "Orange" is 12 and was just diagnosed with FIV and pretty bad anemia. Symptoms became apparent this weekend. So weird. Wasn't eating and sleeping all day. He's an indoor/outdoor cat I rescued as a feral when he was a baby. Still have his mom and sister. Vet gave him antibiotic and steroid shot/and B-12 today. Any chance he will live? Has anyone ever had this experience. Thanks.

I don't have specific experience but wanted to pass along one of our well respected long-time member's plight with FIV and has much experience on the disease. Definitely stay positive.
