my cat is 7month old mix Persian and Angola he only eats wet food or pate ...

he never touches his dry food even if i keep them for 3 days ...

he would actually starve himself if i give him dry food

is that normal?

is it healthy for him?

i feed him 1 small bag of purina or friskies jelly morning and one in the evening is that enough ?

it s my first cat ever so i am a bit worried

From my own research and from reading posts on this site, your cat is just out of its kitten stage and can be on an adult diet. Definitely check this out: http://www.thecatsite.com/a/how-much-food-should-i-feed-my-cat

Maybe your cat is picky and doesn't like dry food. If it's possible for you, I would just stick with the wet food diet. Otherwise, you may have to attempt to transition your cat to eat dry food.

I'm a first time cat owner myself, so I'm really just commenting hoping this grabs the attention of other cat owners. Ultimately, I would also take your cat to your vet just in case.

If you can afford it then keep him on wet food as it is healthier for him but if you can't we can tell you how to transition to dry food.

Some cats are just picky and will refuses to eat anything else. I would also take him to a vet for a wellness check if you haven't since you have him

How much to feed him? That depends on how much he weigh and how active he is, since he is a kitten still he is going to need more food then a adult

I agree with the others: keep your cat on the wet food since that's what he likes and will eat. As for the questions of whether you're feeding him or not, it's difficult to say without seeing him or how he reacts when he's eating or after he's eaten.

Does your cat ask for more food or does he act like he's getting enough to eat? Does he finish his food and seem like he wants more? Does he have a small frame and seem like he's filling out or is he skinny? If he doesn't seem like he's getting enough food and/or seems thin, I'd probably try feeding him more: as @mwallace056 mentioned, kittens need a lot of calories because they're still growing and usually very active. I also second what mwallace056 and @mingking said about getting a wellness check if you haven't already brought the little guy in.

Good luck and welcome to The Cat Site!

I agree with the others, keep him on wet food and be glad his preference isn't the reverse.
