That link doesn't work for me.  Can you check it?

EDIT:  Never mind.  It works for me now.

No. We have something similar to this and, while the kids will play with it for a few minutes, they seem to tire of it.

Best luck we have had is the lower height cat tower with dangling toys and sisal fabric for scratching....

$80 is too much and it seems similar to those moving balls for about $10 (although this SHRU looks a lot sleeker and is less noisy).

I wouldn't bother. The things that give my cats the most amount of fun are cardboard boxes and the bugs they find out in their enclosure. I think the most valuable thing you can give to your cats is your time, you don't need to spend money on fancy stuff like this.

I agree. This might be OK for someone who has an only cat but why not just get another cat? They can entertain each other and another kitty gets a home. Win Win!!

Any tips for single cat homes to get more exercise? We have a small platform that he uses sometimes and we play with him as well. Looking for other tips to keep him active. We have him on a reduced calorie diet and we are hoping to get him to do a bit more exercise as well.....

Another cat?

Or how about that toy called Da Bird? I've never used it, but I hear some cats get really excited over it.

My cat likes balls or anything that will slide on the tile floor. We got some cute little animal print balls with some jingly stuff inside and a feather on each for like 3 for 2$ and we got a 10$ like round thing that came with a ball that is supposed to be used with it but it lights up and she is obsessed with it. Otherwise, mine like milk rings, cardboard boxes, fluffy things, strings, feathers, and her tree. Oh and the window sill. Lasers are always fun but can be dangerous if shined in their eyes. You just kinda have to play around with what they like. Mine will play with craft poof balls sometimes too. We got the cheaper like 20$ one that is a ball and a feather and she likes it but it isn't the most exciting thing. I have also heard people get those weasel kids toys that do about the same thing and I know you can get something like this that is like a little mouse with a remote but you have to control that.
