Thanks guys.

I am going to help my aunt tomorrow to clean out all his stuff. I am not looking forward to it.

My mum and brother are flying back from Cape Town as soon as we know when the funeral is.

I suppose it will sink in some time soon - it isn't the tearing grief I felt when my gran or Munchie died. I even felt more for my cat. I feel insane about that.

Maybe I am just in shock.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Sending hugs to you and headbumps from the kitties.

I can relate to what you're feeling as far as numbness, I was the same way when my father died. What you're feeling is normal, the grief will come in its own time.

. I know how you feel about the numbness, hang in there it does get a little better with time. I am saying a prayer for your Grandfather, you and your family.

So sorry to hear of your loss!.
It's never a good time at any time, but at christmas it just seems to make it that bit harder.

Hugs from myself and head butts from Rosie xx

I'm so sorry you've lost your Grandad. The numb thing is strange - I felt that when I lost my Dad, and although I was deeply sad inside because we were very close, I never howled and bawled my eyes out but had these waves of sadness and resignation come over me for a long time. Still get it sometimes, and it's coming up for 6 years since we lost him now.

Sending lots of love and healing wishes to you and your family.
