I had him in a box on my bed, when I came back he had escaped the box. When he was crying at night I put a rolled up pair of socks in with him....when I came back his whole upper body was IN the socks. He is apparently going to be a mischievous little adventurer, so we named him Sawyer, after Tom Sawyer.

I believe he was born Monday, so three days. His umbilical cord hasn't come off yet. Up to eating 3 ml now and sucking it out of the syringe himself!

Five babies have gone to their home. She says they are doing well. Sawyer, the tiny baby is feeding well, his diarrhea has returned though. Don't understand why it would come and go?

He was eating up to 3 mls each feeding. I'm feeding every two hours. Now he has regressed to only one ml each feeding. He sucks it down on his own but after the first, turns his head and doesn't want more. Should I put some in his cheek? He will swallow it, just didn't want to give him too much.

Do you burp him after feeding? Maybe he is getting too much air/bubbles in his tummy? My kitten use to suck the pet ag bottle so hard it would concave!

He's had diarrhea some, then it was firmer. Now it was some where in between. He's declining severely. Not meowing loud any more, or waddling around after eating. Just making him comfortable now. [emoji]128546[/emoji]

Awww. Precious little babies that you did so much for. Glad they are doing well.

We need to ask an advisor about the diarrhea.

It may be the formula needs to be diluted a bit more with water, but let's see what she says. It's good Sawyer is drinking lots though! Maybe he's ready for the bottle! :)

I haven't put him down since 6:30. I thought he was going, still think he might be. Did a huge firm poop but small amount of blood was in the stool. He fought some while I cleaned him up, I fed him a ml, he fought that too. In it for the long haul, I'm not putting him down until he passes or I feel he's much better.

Know you're a cat rescuer if you pee while holding a kitten!!

Please describe the diarrhea, yellow/mustard color?

Liquid or runny but thick?

Baby looks like no fur on his legs, is this correct? He looks a bit premature. The arm fur is a telltale sign.

Must really watch the weight gain daily.

Edit-when I clicked on the pic and made it bigger I see fur on arms, might be a bit early but not too bad, still so tiny!

I see the box, you have blankets in there which is nice but do you have a heat source? Heating pad, etc?

Has been yellow and runny. Then just now a whole lot but firm, still yellowish but little bit of blood. That pic was from the shelter. Has been on heating pad with me ever since day one.

He had been eating 3 ml per feeding but has declined, I just made him eat one ml. Slowly putting in his cheek a little at a time.
