Transport Problems

I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but here goes. My brother's cat is getting spayed next week (I've laid down the law about this) but we have transport issues. My car has an exhaust leak into the cabin, and isn't safe for humans. My Mom's car (the only other car we have access to) is only available before seven in the morning or after eight at night. We can't afford both to spay AND take a taxi, so does anyone have suggestions? I want to get her spayed before she gets pregnant again.

are you using a low-cost spay/neuter? call a local cat/animal rescue group. 

if you lived near me, i'd give you a ride. 

I would call the vet clinic and see if you can make arrangements to drop off the cat early in the morning or later in the evening the day before spay.  Also, can you find a friend to help you out?

My only friend recently moved across the country.
