Hey guys. My kitten Juniper is about 7 or 8 months old now; healthy and just as crazy as ever. My question is that she's already starting to get that little skin "jello jiggler" or "pooch" under her tummy and am wondering if that's pretty normal. She's pretty small at about 5 pounds and was spayed about 4 months ago give or take.

It's normal, and I don't think it has anything to do with spaying like some sources say. All cats have some level of that "pouch". If we look at big wild cats like lions (who are intact), they have a huge obvious one. It's called a primordial pouch and it works to protect their organs during play and fights, but each cat's will vary.

We have one bigger cat and one smaller cat, but both tend to the skinny side. The larger, but skinnier of the two has SO much skin wobbling around under him and it just flops like crazy when he runs - everyone thinks he's huge and needs to lose weight, but one feel of his hips and you can tell he's way skinnier than he looks.

Thanks Pinkdagger for the info. I didn't realize she would get it so quickly. My cat who passed this winter had the same huge pooch like your cat and man that thing had a life of its own when she ran!
