Bone in canned food?

I gave the cats a new brand I did today (new for us). When they were done I found somethig that looked like a small bone in the dish. First I thought it was a fang it was a little longer and was thinner so it wasn't a tooth. I can't rememebr the brand right now and I'm too lazy to get up haha. It has a blue top and you open from the bottom. Natural balance maybe? Is this normal? First I was mad and thankful they didn't choke but then I realized I they were to catch a mouse or something it would also have bones so they are probably better than humans at picking them out.

Any bones in canned food should be softened by the processing, enough to not be dangerous.
