sisal rope scratching post making my cat sneeze now

My cat Truffles has been sneezing off and on since last night, she always likes to chew on her post as well as scratch it.  I think both of her posts need to be replaced as they are quite worn now, I looked at her nose and it just feels warm but doesn't look swollen.  I called the vets and they didn't think it was serious but to phone on Monday to make an appt. if she isn't better and call if it gets worse.  I wish she would stop trying to chew on it but I guess there is nothing I can do about this.  All I need to know is there anything I can do to make her feel better or do besides getting her checked out?  March has been a terrible month due to bad things happening, another pet was ill but is fine plus extra expenses so it has been a worrying month.

remove any discharge

increase humidity if you can -- humidifier, hot shower in bathroom, etc.

make sure drinking and eating 

keep cat warm and rested

thank you.  She doesn't have any discharge and seems to be sneezing less, she is eating but not as much,will keep watch. I'm looking into another kind of scratch. post as it may be an allergy that has developed.
