I noticed Whole Earth Farms Grain Free cat food in Petco. It does have dried peas and egg but no carrageenan in the chicken pate. The price is reasonable. Has anyone tried it, thoughts? http://www.feedgoodness.com/recipes/cats

Thank you.

Petco is where I do most of my cat food shopping but I've never seen this kind.  Did you try it--did your cats like it?

Petco has carried the dog food for a while but i just noticed this brand for cats. It was not with the other merrick, it was near Canidae cat food.

Looks interesting chicken, turkey, and duck offered, how is price compared to regular Merrick?
My 3 tried to bury it so its a no. I tried the chicken. I have not tried the other flavors. The 5 oz. can was $1.30 or close to it. It was dense, more so than the Merrick duck pate they like so I added some water but it was still a no. Picky little stinkers! I tried Against the Grain Chicken Samba (I think that's the name, chicken and pumpkin) and they liked it. I'm always on the look-out for variety.

Thanks for the feedback, mine love regular Merrick also. I just requested free samples from I and Love and you! It looks good sold on Amazon. Mine inhaled the Iams turkey and liver delicacies I bought half price at big lots for 50 cents a can. I am going back for more.

I've tried the dog food for I and Love and You! (Wish they had an easier/shorter name). Unleashed carries (or used to) carries the dog food but not the cat food which is odd. Let us know how your kitties like it.  I've never looked at Iams. Its easy to get at the grocery store and the price is good. Is it grain free? I will look it up. Our Big Lots only has Friskies. :(

Thank you.
I've bought their dog food and Bailey loves it but she's not really a good judge because she'll pretty much eat anything. I didn't know they had cat food. I thought they did dog food only. I might grab a can when I go to Petco.

I've never seen it either. Only the dog food. I'll have to look for it. The dog food is high quality

Yes the Iams turkey liver delicacy is grain and carageenan free and boy did they inhale it, chunks in gravy. My Petco does not sell ily but Amazon has it, if they like free samples, I will order. Asking for free samples is how I put red barn and fussie in the rotation. The stores in my area are very limited.

Whole Foods carries I and Love and You! but not all flavors. They had chicken, beef, and cod. I was hoping they had the rabbit. They ate the chicken, I will try again to be sure.

Is it much cheaper in store than Amazon? My whole foods is a 35 mile drive away! I asked for rabbit, duck & chicken samples of I[emoji]10084[/emoji]️You, they said they are sending it!

Cashier goofed at Big Lots, got 48 cans for $12, 25 cents a can?????? Now that was a deal, normally $1 a can for Iams Delicacies. This is something I would have never tried normally. My cats typically Do Not like Turkey! They ate this food faster than I have ever seen them eat! It must be the liver! They were both making the num num noise while wolfing it down. Thank you Big Lots!

Nice! My big lots occasionally will have Nutro Natural Choice for .50 a can. They mostly only carry Friskies though. I set up my first autoship with Chewy and got 20% off my order
Code:
1 x Merrick Purrfect Bistro Grain-Free Duck Pate Canned Cat Food, 3-oz, case of 24 - $25.991 x Redbarn Naturals Tricky Chicky Chicken Stew Grain-Free Canned Cat Food, 3-oz, case of 24 - $19.991 x Dave's Pet Food Naturally Healthy Grain-Free Turkey & Giblets Dinner Canned Cat Food, 3-oz, case of 24 - $21.99
Code:
Item(s) Subtotal: $67.97Shipping & Handling: $0.00Autoship n'Save Discount: ($1.00)Promotion Applied: ($13.39)----Total Before Tax: $53.58Estimated Tax: $3.21----Order Total: $56.79
It works out to .79 per can. Not bad. They like the Merrick duck pate and the Redbarn Tricky Chicky. The Dave's turkey and giblets is a gamble but if the girls don't eat it, the chances are very good that Henry will. Henry's not taking to the commercial raw as well as the girls are so he may stay on the premium canned longer than they will or for good.

Well, I tried the Whole Earth Farms Grain Free. The label said the moisture content was 'no more than 78%' or something, same as the Purrfect Bistro pate I usually feed them, but it seemed much drier, in fact I added some water to it before I fed them.  I have to give it a thumbs-down.  I tried both the chicken and turkey flavors, which my cats usually like, but not one of the four of them liked the WEFGF!

Fortunately I only bought a few cans of it so, no great loss.

It won't be in my rotation. The I and Love and You brand won't either. :(

Came across this brand at my Petco this past weekend.  Bought one can of the chicken pate to try with my 2 and they both ate it.     Will try again and if they continue to like maybe something I will add to their rotation.

ps. I noticed the ingredients on the can I bought are slightly different than those listed on Chewy.com.   For instance the can I bought list cinnamon, olive oil as an ingredient whereas it's not listed on Chewy. Chewy has potato protein and dried potatoes listed yet they are not listed on the can I have.

Not sure which is the newer ingredient list.    Frankly I wish it had none of these unnecessary ingredients.

This just showed up on the store I usually shop in for pet supplies, a little mom and pop type place.  This morning, I had my two try the Beef flavor.  It was a big hit.  Yes, a bit drier than other pate brands, but I didn't feel the need to water it down.

I don't like the website. Information is poorly presented.  The site is very dog-centric even under the cat related foods.  Under the suggested feeding guide, it has categories for cat sizes NO cat will ever attain; highest says 70-100 pounds LOL.  So, I wrote them, and even in the online email menu, same problem.  No pull down category for the cat food.

I don't remember the exact price, it was not too high, like Tikie Cat or the Weruva Tru-Lux lines (which, are in my rotation - price isn't my main concern).  Nor was it very cheap, like Fancy Feast; also in my rotation.  Going to try other flavors and hoping they like them as much.

They carry it at my Petco. They used to only make dog food so I think the cat food is relatively new. I tried a few kinds because my dog likes their wet and dry dog food a lot. I learned to never take a dog's opinion whether something is good or not. They didn't like it at all. This shouldn't surprise me. They are so picky and my dog will eat anything. She ate a petrified frog once. She doesn't exactly have the taste buds of a gourmet.
