I managed to transport 2 kittens (4-5 months old) from the animal control shelter to a no-kill shelter today. These kittens were to be PTS on Thursday. One was a beautiful female red tabby (rare) and the other a sweet female torbi (tabby and tortie mix). They purred and purred when I pulled them out of their cage. I talked the no-kill shelter into taking the 4 young kittens that were also there in 2 weeks when they are 8 weeks old (I still need to find somewhere for the mom). I placed another cat that was thrown outside when her owner died into a friends home over the weekend.
I'm having a great week!!!!
And thanks for the music tip Hissy - they were terrified in the car and I turned on a classical music station that by chance was playing celtic harp music - calmed them right down!!
