Boris and Diamond say hello!

Hi!  My name is Jim.  I have two cats, Boris and Diamond.  Boris is a Siberian and very entertaining.  He gets his feelings hurt when you laugh at him, so I have to cover my mouth when he does something humorous.  He is very affectionate, but only when he says so.  The best move he has is at night when he lays on my shoulder.  I can lean my head on him and I have a purr pillow!  Often he will run ahead of me, stop and flip over on his back and chirp.  This is the signal to rub his belly.  I have trouble resisting.  He will be three soon.  Here are pictures.View media item 265035  And yes his feet are big.


My other cat, Diamond, is a rescue cat.  He was 5 or 6 months old when I got him.  He is finally learning bounds.  He had many bad habits for an indoor cat, but with consistency and lots of love he is now more tractable.  Still can't let him in the kitchen.  He is also very affectionate, but with the worst "lost mom too soon" syndrome I have seen.  Despite all that, he is a charming fellow.  And the second day he was here he got up on his haunches, put his paws together and begged!  Cute trick!  Here he is.



I admire cats and find them very entertaining.  I look forward to seeing the pictures of cats that people post and reading the discussions about them.  Maybe I will even have something to say myself.  Best Regards, Jim

Both are absolutely beautiful! And I can tell full of personality. I LOVE the hair on Boris's toes! All the luck, and feel free to let us know of your experiences being owned by cats!

I think I'm going to be a big Diamond fan. I have a couple of long haired black and white boys like that, always up to mischief!

Thanks all for the kind words about my companions.  I was allergic for a long time and could not have a pet.  It was so wonderful when I got Boris the hypo-allergenic cat.  And then the allergies went away and I got Diamond.  So wonderful when I come home after a tough day and I have two affectionate furballs waiting to be petted!

And I was terrified of cats as a child and now I can't live without a cat or two in the house.

Very studly boys! Great yawn pics, I'm envious. The yawn is over by time my image capture finally snaps them. Predicting the yawn, that is talent! I, too, am partial to Diamond, but biased by my black and white boys. That's a lot of long hair betwixt the two, to manage. They're both so fluffy!

Puck - for the yawn picture, I was taking pictures when he yawned.  Just had to be quick and snap it.  He seems to know when he is being photographed and tries to strike a good pose!

Boris is a great name for him! That first pic of him had me giggling. He LOOKS like a boris!! Haha!

I love these little guys.  They sound like great friends and I can see in their faces how sweet they are!  

They are lovely looking cats, very photogenic. I agree Boris defo looks like a Boris lol

What is "a boris" please? I only know Boris as a masculine name. Sorry to be so ignorant.Many thanks.
