How about British Shorthair? I'm sure @Columbine

I'll have to show her your drawing. i'm sure she'll think it's her. She's a real diva.
She might attack it then to get rid of the competition, LOL

I started a Russian Blue a while ago so I would need to make them different enough. Maybe I should do the brown one instead, otherwise they might look too similar.
Thanks for the pics.

Ans thanks everybody for the interest in this project ^^

I have to do a Siberian for  my brother first, then I would need to make this one different enough from the siberian. The second one looks quite similar I think. I will check both breeds tomorrow to better see their differences.

Two beauties, anyway.

The sphinx looks like Yoda.  It was like it was telling me to "do or do not, there is no try."  I love it.
Hahahaah. The sphinx is doing remarkably well despite of its special looks. Thanks, dahlia.

The great thing about British Shorthairs (from an artistic perspective) is that they come in pretty much all colours, although the blue is the original.

They're much cobbier than Russian blues, and the biggest points of difference are much smaller ears and copper coloured eyes (instead of the beautiful green of the Russians)

@Columbine  is absolutely right (it would be weird if she didn't)

You can see the differences, ever when they are babies still.. The Russian Blue is "slimmer" and the ears are more "pointy" and bigger. The Blue British Short hair is "chubbier", round-faced and its ears are small and round.

And an idea just hit me by looking at the above photos: You can change the posture between them as well. You can draw the Russian to stand and the British to sit. That way people will make them out even more easily.

They also look like living stuffed animals. You just want to pick them up and never put them back down because they are so cute and cuddly.

Yeah, you´re right. I could clearly do both. ^^ And you´re right about the postures as well. The thing is the Russian blue had a different one, but it didn´t work that well, so I never finished it. I think I´ll give him another chance.

You are very talented. Wish I was that talented! For the Russian Blue and British short hair - there is a total difference in body and head structure so shouldn't be to difficult. As to the Persian been ultra extreme - it isn't, but is very pretty. Might I suggest checking out the breed standards of what ever cat association is in your country? It could be a good reference.

Well, for the Persian (as well as for the others)I looked for references on the internet. I could also be that I simply didn´t draw it well  or that the cartoonization just made it lose some of the features :)

You did it very well, it just isn't an ultra extreme Persian is all I meant to say. Your talent isn't in question! I am sorry if that is the way you took it. The drawing should sell very well. Here is a link to pictures of extreme Persians so you can see what I mean

http://www.cfa.org/Breeds/BreedsKthruR/Persian.aspx

Of course every country and registry has their own standards and look that is popular.
