Do cats use cat house?

Hi

I just wanted to know if cats use a cat house? like the one in the pic? 

I'm working on constructing a cat tree on my own and I don't want to waste time and effort.

Ours sure do.  See my avatar?  :-)  That's Rico, he loves playing in and on the cat tower.

Ritz likes it and now sometimes Hercules, although I'm not sure Ritz likes Hercules liking it.
But Ritz really doesn't like pet beds. Unless I'm in it

oh really? That's great. I'm actually short on resources. i guess the house should be built of thinner sheets of wood which i only have a few. Thanks  

Mine love theirs. Lilith especially. Sophie will use it but not as often. She had an incident on it and she may still be "mad" at it. She was playing with the little fuzzy ball that hangs from one of the platforms from an elastic cord. The cord got wrapped around her foot and she understandable got very upset. Lily was in the tree with her when it happened and she was upset as well. Fortunately I was in the room with them when it happened and I got her paw freed quickly and she was not harmed but she doesn't use it as much as she did before that.She uses it more to get to the windowsill behind it. 

Mine love theirs. I have two different kinds. Both of mine are about 7feet tall. The kitten will climb right up the posts to the top without any problems. The other two cats are much bigger and older and mainly just sit on the shelves and in the houses. It also REALLY helped out with them clawing my furniture. They only use the condo and tree for that now.

Mine all love their tree too. We made them a Kitty Highway so they can get around the room without touching the floor and they love that. Just make sure all the surfaces they walk on are covered in carpet or something else they can get their claws into, so they don't fall off.


 Their first tree. They trashed this one after a few years so I had to buy a bigger, stronger one.

 It lasted pretty well, but needed the scratching posts recovering and new fabric after a year.
