No tests for FIP are 100% accurate. The vet can advise you that based on tests and any symptoms the cat may have, that it MAY be FIP, but it is impossible to be sure. What other symptoms does your cat have - swollen abdomen, fever, lethargy, vomiting, these can all be possible indicators. I have lost two cats to this disease, and it is very difficult.

Your cat is a little anemic but that does not mean he has FIP.  There are lots of things that can cause anemia.  There is no easy way to diagnose FIP until the point that the cat starts accumulating a lot of fluid in the belly ad the vet can tap that fluid.  There are lab tests that can be done on it, but for the most part if your cat has all the signs of FIP and then the yellow viscous fluid in the belly, that is pretty much diagnostic.  Since FIP is eventually fatal, diagnosing it early does not add to the cat's chances of survival.  Treating the symptoms will make the cat comfortable for awhile, but when the quality of life starts to go bad, that's the time to let them go and not fight it.

History is important to know.  Did your cat come from a shelter or rescue environment?  Did any other cats in the house or shelter get FIP?  Did your cat recently (within 3 weeks) have intense stress, an accident or injury from which he recovered in a week or so but now, two weeks later, is becoming ill?

Since English is not your first language, I am not sure how well a translation program will wor on this but hope it does.  Here is a link to an in-depth article about FIP if you are interested in learning more.  In the meantime, you and your vet may want to see if you can find the causeof the anemia, and just keep your cat as comfortable and happy as you can.  With FIP, they can have some normal comfortable times for awhile before it gets too bad, and then they stop eating and just lie around.

Here is the link to the article.  Maybe you can find a translator somewhere, or share it with your vet and have hi explain it to you.

I don't recall anemia being one of Darcy's symptoms with the FIP, but it's all such a blur now so who knows.

You definitely need to get to the bottom of what is causing the anemia. If you google, there is more than one kind a cat can have and treatment is different.  I hope you can get to the bottom of it soon. Not much else worse than knowing something is wrong with your kitty and not knowing what or how to fix it.

A few months short of eating a small amount, it will not lead to anemia ??

A few months of not good food could lead to a little anemia.  Also, having many fleas and blood sucking insects can lead to anemia.  Some worms can lead to anemia.  Some infections can lead to anemia.  Vet will treat for all those things and cat will get better.

Can vet check for parasites? Fecal test I think, maybe other ways.  Check B vitamin in blood? I think low B12 or something can lead to anemia?  Need to research that.
