I have a 10 month old cat who i've had since he was basically a baby. When he was much younger he liked to jump up on my desk and on the dressers and the tables and everything else, and so I would yell at him or raise my voice at him and sometimes it would keep him off, i soon realized that wasn't doing much good so i resorted to a spray bottle, the only thing it does, is make him run away from me whenever i pick it up or move it, he still is jumping up on the furniture and I have no idea how to make him stop, hes starting to get onto the kitchen counters now, and when i move back home from college, my mother is not going to be very happy with him doing this. I'm out of ideas on how to keep him off. The only furniture he's allowed on is the couches, my bed, and my nightstand where he likes to sleep. I want him to keep off everything else but the spray bottle trick and the yelling dont seem to phase him as much anymore. I really really, dont want to completely cut him off from the bed and night stand because those are his two favourite places to sleep at night and i enjoy having a little cuddle buddy. I'm assuming that may be the only solution to this problem, or maybe he'll grow out of jumping on everything, but if anyone else has any ideas please throw them at me.
