Yes, @Stewball, Minstrel's eyes are round like Blighty's, but I don't think they'll be as big. Blighty is beautiful.  A boy?  Another tuxedo cat!  And it looks like Blighty has a bow tie just under his nose!

Both blighty and whisky are boys.
Yes blighty has a bow tie. When he was a baby his eyes looked like owl eyes.

Think I'm going to need some counselling

Minstrel has reached the 1.1kg mark.   So has Possum.   Ginge has a little way to go.   This means they’re coming up for their de-sexing and finding new homes.

I think I’m the one who’ll be needing some help!   Any words of wisdom in coping with goodbyes?

Oh dear! I am going to need counseling over this too. Sitting here now with my 4 little ones and cannot imagine saying good bye to any of them. Perhaps wait until Ginge hits her mark so they can be together a few more days. It will be very quiet around your house when they go! How old are they now? Take comfort in knowing they will get good forever homes. Perhaps you can request updates. Bless their little hearts. They will surely miss you too! :(

I checked your thread tonight (our time) and what beautiful kittens you have too - a little bit younger than mine so you can look forward to similar progress to these three, I guess.  I look forward to checking your thread to see how they develop.

I will wait until Ginge hits her weight, and a bit more. The kittens' vacinations are due on 17 May so I should be able to wait until then and when I take them for the vacinations they'll probably decide at that point if they're to be handed over. I read they have a lot of foster kittens at present, so I might get an extension!
  I'll request updates, but it will probably depend on who adopts them. A thought for another day....

I estimate they'd be about 9 weeks old now.

Mine are 8 weeks today. Don't think I have updated lately. I need to do that as they have grown quite a lot. Mine are set for a June 3rd spay/neuter appointment. And I had Kitty Kitty spayed about 10 days ago. They are non-stop active kittens until nap time and then boom! They are out like little lights! Loving every minute of it! :)

@Stewball
, I thought the same. Those yawns look so much like laughs.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could laugh!
Sure looks like cats laugh, henxce the picture. "That one friend" just happens to be me.
These are not my cats... wish they were

Yes, please do keep us posted!  Perhaps you'll get an extension, which would be wonderful.

Are you sure you can't keep one? You're made of much sterner stuff than I am. I managed to get quite a few of the kittens from the colony I care for rehomed, but I ended up keeping far more.

@Norachan, I'd disagree on the 'sterner stuff' bit', and @Stewball, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to keep all three, but at least one, or maybe two.  Between you and me..., I'm working on it, gently, gently, with my elderly mother. She has to come first. It's just finding a way to keep her safe from claws and tripping.  She does love them. Proof has got to be her allowing them to sleep on her bed. She has never allowed that with cats in the past. I think at least one would be wonderful therapy for her, but she has to accept that too.  I'm chipping away at it.
Last night on "Nanna's" bed. That's her arm they're resting on.
Another bedtime shot, with Possum revealing his gorgeous tummy markings.

I've made a real mess.
Your mum loves then and allows things shed never done before. You said your chipping away for two so one more makes no difference

Thanks @Stewball. Yes, my mum does love them, but she doesn't want to keep them. I've raised it gently several times, but so far no luck.  I'll chip away, though.

Ginge is the most adorable, lovable cat you could imagine. But she is the worst in terms of maintenance - SO demanding and vocal, and springs from anywhere and everywhere onto your body, clinging on and tearing the skin (of my mother, particularly, due to the condition of her aged skin).  My poor Mum has Bandaids all over her, and scratches from her ankles to her thighs, hands to her shoulders, across the back of her neck, and down her back.  I'm running out of  first-aid supplies!

It's a real heart v. head battle.  But I'm working on it.

Sorry my phone is blah.
keep their claws short without cutting the quick again. You can buy special claw covers that are soft. Save mama and the furniture.
You asked for advice because you know deep down you want v keep them, and my advice is keep them. Think of the joy you'll bring yourself and your mum. They love you both. How can you think of separating then from each other and you, they're mum. It would be too cruel to do so.
Do v have any other animals? If not then three kitties are just right. My first came and a few weeks later no.2 turned up and then no. 3. It was wonderful. You see I manage with two. I'd love another one. I even had 2 kitties and a big dog and we managed just fine. Think hard about what you REALLY want Andy not what you think is expected of you. Three babies with a forever loving home.
Please think and do what I tell you to do. I'm 70 so b have the experience. We all want you to keep them.

@Stewball   I don't think you're making it any easier.

A big thing about fostering is the saying goodbye... it's a really special thing to be able to love and socialise kittens so that they can find wonderful forever homes.

I'm not saying don't keep any, @Checkers.. If you can that's great, but if you can't you're doing a wonderful thing for these kittes.

I'm not trying b be mean. I'm trying to help her make up her mind to do what she really wants to do. The soft gel claw things would stop mum getting scratched.
My heart is in the right
