Thanks a bunch I will do that. And yes her temp has always been about 100.4 100.5 on a normal but I haven't had her that long I've only been checking her for a few weeks now and that's all its ever been. Until tonight.

Ok, so lets hope it wasnt any big crisis.   Continue to observe her, rub her tummy if she allows, talk sweetly friendly and reassuring, and continue to entice her to drink.   Drinking a lot is essential.

You can have some tuna júice for opened can in the water.  Or some cream in the water.  Many cats get extra interested by it.

Otherwise, you can try and hand feed her water, perhaps with a soup spoon, or even from your hand...

Update... Eva is drinking on her own and spent mire time under my bed. She did come out this morning and I caught her in the bath tub...she's never been here before. So assuming she's nesting. I still cannot see babies yet they have seemed to go quiet. There never was much movement anyway just a few hiccups and thumps for about a week and then nothing. Her temp is still down no labor is being seen so now it's th waiting game

The temp thing is not correct. You can't go buy that and your tramatizing her everytime you do that which in turn could make her put off labor which cats can very well do. Ok so your playing the waiting game. Here thus goes, they will start to eat very very small meals throughout the day the last week. every cat I seen ate the day the had kittens so don't listen to all that going off food nonsense because she's already taken herself off food and she's just picking here and there. Another sign you are in the last week, you will SEE the kittens moving and not like when you first did you will see heads paws bodies and when you pet her stomach it won't feel hard and round but hard and lumpy. Some but not all cats milk glands will come in the last week of pregnancy either way her fur should be well groomed (by her) well away from her areola. Another last week sign, you'll have a harder time getting her up and to come over to you, she won't want to leave her birthing area. Now if you're positive of the date you have at least a week before worrying about all this. I'd relax and let her relax and then in a couple days make a schedule to start checking on her every 6 hours. Keep her in her own room from this point in if possible. The more relaxed you are and she is the sooner the show will get on the road. I'll keep checking on your post for questions

Thank you. I was always told to do a temp check on a female cat but I've never owned one just did lots and lots of research. Also ive barely ever felt the kittens move I did for about a week then nothing then all of a sudden she looked like she wasn't pregnant. So I called the vet and she said some cats you will never feel the kittens move because it's all about how she carries how many babies and if it's a first time mother. She told me not to be alarmed. But I have literally seen her eat once today a few bites and she threw it up five mins later. But thats the only time today she's done that. I've owned her for 56 days and she hasn't been exposed to any male cat in those 56 days so the vet said she had to at least be 57 days along. And said if she didn't go into Labor in ten days I needed to make an appt. She said she dosent think it's a false pregnancy because this far along with be a miscarriage or spontaneous abortion. She said her stomach is soft because the babies may have moved into the canal getting ready for birth. She also said low temps mean nothing it still could be a week before she delivers and advised me to only take temps under the arm not rectal as well so I'm gonna follow both yours as well as her advice in that. Thanks a bunch I'm just worried because I've never been through this before. Also the question I have is the vet never asked me what I was going to need to do once kittens were born don't they and momma need a vet check once they are born to make sure all is well with them and momma?

If the kittens are born safely and are all feeding well from their mom then they don't need an immediate vet check - it is better not to disturb them at that stage unless something is really worrying you. What we do recommend, though, getting some KMR (kitten replacement milk) from your vet or pharmacy or petshop, and a feeding bottle or needleless syringe so you are prepared if one or more does not seem to be suckling or is failing in any way. There is nothing worse than a crying or lethargic kitten in the middle of the night or at the weekend when you have nothing to give it. The way to be sure they are thriving is weighing them daily, at the same time of day, to make sure they are gaining, up to 10 grams a day but often less. Get a small kitchen scale that weighs in grams and keep a list of how much each one weighs each day. Get some coloured nail varnish in advance so that you can mark the claw of any 'duplicate' kitten - in the first few days it can be impossible to tell two black or tabby ones apart!

She almost looks like she isn't pregnant. If the lady while had her before me wouldn't have told me she was I'd have never known other that her teets are swollen and she's cleaning herself a lot

As they move down into the birth canal you will not see them move so much, if at all. It is very common in the few days before birth.

She still has awhile to go. After they become active they will lay off and you won't feel much movement. The last week they look and feel like they have moving rocks in their stomach, 1 or 8! The throwing so frequently is odd but could very well be because she's pregnant. This cat sounds like she's not ready yet. Cats are amazing animals, don't freak out your cat will pick up on it and put labor off (if it's really impeding) you won't need the vet, don't let threads and things you read scare you, the only thing you can count on is that the whole labor and delivery will not be whats "normal" ALL cats do it different.

A really excellent post, but this  got reveresed.  Normally they shall gain minimum 10 grams.  Its just the  smallish from beginning who are allowed to gain less than 10g a day (0,3oz).  But they shall gain them too!     :)

Thanks, Stefan! I edited my post before I published it and somehow got it all mixed up! But the important thing is that all kittens gain weight.
