LOL, I am getting my new computer tomorrow being hooked up by a technie from Staples.  Since I've never used Windows 7, don't know how well I will fare.  Wanted and needed a new computer for a long while and finally am getting one.  I'm excited and anxious at the same time.

Hopefully I'll get here with no problem and see ya soon

oh, how exciting!

when i started using a personal  computer (an older mac given to me when my dad upgraded his), i bought a used "For Dummies" book from amazon. i didn't take it that i was a dummy, just that i needed things explained to me well and in easy to understand language. the used "For Dummies" books range in price, but some are extremely inexpensive -- as in i just took a quick look over at amazon and saw used ones for windows 7 starting at $1.49, plus shipping. i've bought all my "For Dummies" books used from amazon, various subjects, and saved a good amount of money and got books that we're just fine. when i bought my new windows 7 computer, i bought a used windows 7 for dummies book even though i was very comfortable using computers by then. i've used that book to look up info or how to do's quickly, and the book always makes it easy for me to understand. it might be something worth considering, to help you settle in with windows 7 more quickly and easily...

Good luck! The ... for Dummies books are good and sometimes a big help. Windows 7 isn't complicated, though.

I really like the Dummies books. I had a few of them, too: Paint Shop Pro 7, Access 2010 (that program makes me spastic on a good day), and quite a few more. They are interesting books and they're down to earth.

Good luck,. Carol!

Good luck with the Windows 7, think I'd need the Dummies book too!
I'm sure you'll get used to it real fast and we'll see you posting again very soon.

You can get the "Dummies" books at the library, too
If you don't plan on needing the book for very long, it's probably best to just borrow it from the library and renew as needed.

I don't think I've used Windows 7 before. My work computer is on Windows XP and my home computer is on Windows Vista. I don't think I'd ever be able to figure out Windows 8. Just looking at a screenshot of the desktop makes me confused
