I came home to find my cat behind the chair in the living room. He had lost control of his bladder and wet himself and the carpet. I took him out and he felt like he had a high temp. Very weak and seemed to have very little strrength to walk.I immediately called my vet. It was 5: 15 and I was told that they close at 6. They scheduled me for 8:30 am Tomorrow. I took his temp.105.1. Just checked on him. Still the same but still alive. Please help with any info or suggestions. Bree

Hey There. I would get him to a vet as soon as you can. Call another vets practice near you and ask if they have an emergency vet available. The only reason I say that is because its better to get your cat checked as soon as possible obviously. The vet may give him a shot of anti-biotics, vitamins or an IV. His temperature is a little higher than it should be. Has he done this before? was he completely fine before this?

If he has lost control of his bladder then it may be an infection in his bladder or uterus - but im not a vet. Im only talking from past experience with a cat who had similar symptoms.

Don't worry yourself, just stay with him. Talk to him, keep him warm or try cooling him down slightly in your case as his temperature is a little too high and see if he will eat anything or drink some water. Is he in any pain at all?

It is a high fever, please let us know what the vet says.
