My cat is pregnant And I was wondering if anyone could take a guess at how far along she is. I am not sure! Her nipples are large and pink and she kind of looks like she swallowed a mini football! Lol! I think she was last in heat during valentines day as there was a cat hanging around the house. But she seems like she is farther than 5 weeks. P.S we are getting her spayed as soon as the kittens are born.

Can you see the kittens moving around in her belly yet? If so, I'd say 6-7 weeks, but if you can't see them yet, it might be closer to your thinking of 5-6 weeks. My cat, MC, is pretty close in size to yours and I'm thinking she's got about a week and a half left, lots of kitty movement!!! Goodluck!

Nope no movement yet. But I could feel a lump this morning, I am guessing that was a kitten :) Is she big for being 5-6 weeks? Or is tis the average size?

Good luck!

She is now in labor!  I see a kitten coming out! She is very restless and choosing to give birth in an extremely small box.

My cat is now in labor. I thought she was due on the 8 of april but I hope I was wrong. She just lost her mucus plug and seems more comfortable. She has chosen to give birth in a extremely small box. Is this okay? It has just enough room for her. I don't want to move her as she is comfortable but will have to be moved after the delivery as there is no room for the kittens to nurse. Any suggestions? I am a little nervous. I hope she is not premature!

I agree, fix up a bigger nest but put it in the location she has chosen so there is room. Do you know exactly when she mated? Please keep us informed. Perhaps @catwoman707 can give some better advice for you shortly.

Yeah, that is the danger.   Some maternity lines do have much earlier deliveries, without problems.  One forumist told once her Persian queen always delivered about the day of 58-59, without no problems with the kittens.   So lets hope for the best.    Although, be prepared to fight for them, IF they are premature and if they are alive.

Begin to read on NOW, and report when you know more.    See you do have needleless syringe, or a dropper.  And kmr milk, or goat milk.  Raw goat milk is best, but full fat bottled works too.

Re the nest.   Yes, when she is done she will surely need a little bigger nest.   Also, this first nest will be soiled, so you must do something anyway.  Either by changging the bedding or the nest.

Good luck!

Well I found a bigger box. She really liked it. She delivered 5 healthy kittens at around midnight! Babies and mom seem to be doing fine! After the first kitten came the rest came out like soap about 2-5 min apart :)

Awww ... Congratulations! Make sure they are all nursing well. Mama will need lots of rest, food and water. Glad it all went well. Keep us updated.

Hope all is going well. My cat chose a small box too, but I made a bigger nest & moved her and the kittens into as quickly as I could. I put it in the same location in the closet though. How many did she have?
