I don't mop with pine cleaner any more. I use vinegar. I use 7th Generation ( "free and clear") dish soap for their dishes or vinegar. Dawn has alcohol in it. I use paper towels to wash their dishes and dry them. Linen towels are washed with laundry soap and I don't want it coming off on their dishes. I may be overly protective but I don't want to take chances. I want to mention too that the dish sponges you get for teflon (scratch free) has soap infused in them. Don't use them for pet dishes or utensils you use for them.
One other thing. I wash their things in a small Rubbermaid type bin that's only for their things. I don't wash their things with mine.

I also do almost all cleaning with white distilled vinegar (diluted with water).

But I'm not that stringent about the cats' dishes. Their dishes are ceramic, not plastic, and I wash them the same as I wash my own dishes, with regular dish detergent and a sponge or plastic scrubbing pad. I figure as long as the dishes are rinsed thoroughly with water, there's no problem. I usually let the dishes dry in a rack rather than using a towel.

When I do a lot of their bowls I let them air dry. If I need one right away I use a paper towel to dry them. I don't wash theirs with mine because I use Dawn for mine plus a teflon safe sponge.

I throw everything in the dishwasher. Food saucers, kibble bowls, and water dishes. It all goes into the dishwasher with our stuff. I use the Sanitize cycle for the load, so their dishes are clean. (So are ours.
) The kids use nothing but ceramic saucers and bowls. We have two large ceramic water bowls and I switch them every day. While one is in the dishwasher, the other is being used. (We recycle as much as we possibly can and I even throw their empty food cans in the dishwasher. We probably have the cleanest recycling items around!)

Vinegar and water solution for the floors. But I do use a regular granite cleaner on the counter tops in the kitchen. And I do use Bona on the computer room floor.

I use vinegar and water for floors and counters, and I wash the ceramic cat saucers (which we also use for little snacks for ourselves) with our dishes + air dry. I boil cinnamon water in place of air fresheners. I haven't used any chemical cleaners since I got the birds. They're far less "hardy" than cats, so commercial products and household hazards are way limited. I think arguably the "worst" thing we use is scented laundry detergent.

All food dishes (glass) and water bowls (ceramic) go in the dishwasher along with ours. I use a steam cleaner on everything instead of chemicals.

At the shelter I volunteer at, all bowls are put through the dishwasher (along with coffee cups, etc. used by the volunteers). The steam cleaner died several weeks ago, so a mixture of vinegar (or a vinegar-based cleanser) and water is used for regular cleaning jobs, bleach and water for disinfecting.

The quarantine section for new intakes or ill cats has a separate set of dishes, etc., and its own dishwasher.

I used vinegar and dish soap to clean my floors once, to get rid of ants. It helped greatly on the ants since they don't like the smell.. however.. it severely attracted wasps! Never again, lol
