Very sorry for your loss, he looked like he was quite the character from his pix.

Kick the litter far and wide Sheldon to let the rest of the universe know you have arrived but don't forget to return to give your mom and dad whiskery kisses in their dreams.

Prayers for your aching hearts.

Laurie, what a beautiful and touching tribute to your's and Gary's boy. For so many of us, we truly share your pain and loss, for those we've lost, and fear losing someday.

The pics speak volumes, reaching up to kiss Gary, watching over the kids in bed, his antics, companionship, and how about the position sitting up?! What a big presence he clearly had, you must feel such a big empty space........

I want to caption the sitting upright looking up at you pic- "But mom I swear, I didn't do it!"  How very precious.

Each day that passes, every tear shed, peace is a little bit closer.

Big hugs to you. Very, very sorry.

Judging from the photos above, Shelley was quite the character - so full of charm and wit. What a terrific looking fellow he was! He could never be replaced, but I hope you find peace and joy and happiness with his siblings. And, I hope you have found consolation in this forum. I know that I do.

Best regards.

I am beyond sorry for your loss of your beautiful Sheldon!

My cat Kitty who I lost 2 days ago painfully, looked like him! When I saw your pictures my heart broke.

Nothing can fill the void, they took our hearts with them. Only time will heal and I do wish you healing and peace :)

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
:hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Thank you all so much for your hugs, condolences, good thoughts, words of wisdom... and sadly, your words of experience. :( :heart2:

It's been a tough adjustment. Obviously we're still going through the process. Our minds comprehend... our hearts do not. I keep seeing Sheldon in Tuxedo. I couldn't stop counting out 10 bowls... I keep going to tell him I'm heading to bed (he was my sleep buddy).... all those little things that are so painfully sharp. I know he's still with us, and will always reside in our hearts, in our memories.... but man-oh-man do we ever miss him. :bawling: :rub:

I went to the vet to pick up meds for Spooky the following week, and his ashes were back. It was bittersweet to bring him home... but they were there earlier than anticipated and it just caught me off-guard.

I have a spot for Shel on the shelf. Fitting, because I often called him "Shelf Shelly" when he did things like this (a pic already posted)

Gary has been completely unable to discuss anything. The poster was a gift, as were the angels. :heart2: Gary just needs time. I expect we'll pick out an urn. I'd like to have a little statue of him made for Gary. But Gary needs more time. I understand. :heart2: For now, I can see Shel, I can hold the little bag with his fur, and I talk to him. I say good morning and good night, and I take comfort in his little shrine. I like to honor all the joy he brought to us. :rbheart:

What a sweet looking cat! You can see the personality in all the pictures. I'm so sorry you had to lose him. It doesn't seem right that such a loving and sweet animal has to go. Our cat, Chef, also was grooming and jumping, etc...so we underestimated his health until the quick 3 day decline. Our thoughts are with you and your kitty is loved!

Aw sweetie. :sniffle: :touch: My heart aches for you and with tears I say, I completely understand how you both feel and what you are experiencing. :alright: The "shrines" are a beautiful place to sit quietly, meditate, feel close and remember all that they taught us - to be more like them is a challenge but for me so worth doing and trying as it gives me strength. I try each and every day as you well know.

What a beautiful, magical and especially spiritual "Shelf Shelly". :rbheart: :touch: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

LDG- I am so sorry about Sheldon. The pictures tell the story. Obviously he was dearly loved and will be dearly missed. I know you do everything that can be done for your cats and Sheldon was so very blessed to have had you and Gary as his parents.I am glad you all had each other .I know how shocking this is to you.

Having lost Remy due to his non -regenerative anemia I understand.I still can hardly think about his death without sobbing. A least I am now able to look at pictures etc and smile at the memories.

These are one of those times when words are not sufficient but, I am deeply saddened to hear you and Gary have lost Sheldon.

Take care . Please give Gary a big hug too.

Today is Thursday morning 4/30/2015 at 12:20 a.m.

I haven't had the time to be on the Forum, and before going to bed I thought I'd get a quick check of what's going on, and, Laurie I find that you and Gary have suffered a great loss - I cry for you guys and the loss you feel.

I'm so sorry.

Laurie, I am so sorry for your loss. There is something so special about these black and white cats. They are just in a class by themselves. Hugs going out to you and your hubby. I am sorry.
