I took my cat, Lily, to the vet yesterday because she was acting like she had a UTI. She does have a uti, but she is also very constipated. They gave her an enema and some fluids to help her pee. She still hasn't gone poop though.. She's acting fine for the most part except that she doesn't seem to want to eat or drink. The vet gave us a prescription food for her, which she turned we nose up at. I gave her a bit of her other food in hopes and she barely are any of that. She is 7 years old by the way.. I'm very worried about her.. what should I do? Help!

What is her prescription food food (or called?) and will she eat her old food?

It's Hills Prescription Diet.. I gave her some of the old food and she only ate a little bit. She's also on antibiotics for the uti, so I thought maybe that could be why. Though I gave her a few treats and she gobbled them up.. ?

Also, she went to the bathroom but not nearly as much as she should have gone after what we saw on the x rays..

She may still be constipated, often an enema doesn't complete the job.  Constipation can cause nausea and anorexia as can the antibiotic for the UTI.  Did the vet say anything about Miralax, it isn't really a laxative but works by drawing water into the colon.  If she will eat treats then let her eat treats.  I know it's not a proper diet but the important thing is getting enough calories in her.

I just gave her some food and she was eating like she normally does, so I'm definitely thinking it's the antibiotics. Vet didn't say anything about Miralax, but I'll look into it
