Hi! I'm Stacy, would like to introduce my girls

I am a 40 year old cat lover, due to some back issues I had to give up my passion for training police dogs. I had one cat at the time (I believe she's a diluted tortie) and my husband was none to pleased, until at 4 months old "Chispa" left a dead copperhead on the front porch. Now he's a cat person too, not like me tho
Fast forward, Chispa is 3. My second cat is a female tabby I named "Kaya". I'm guessing she's around a year old or so. She wandered into my yard several months ago and was as friendly as can be so of course I adopted her. Think she was a "drop off" since I'm way in the country and know my few neighbors...
Next is my kitten "Hazy" another drop off I guess, she's very tiny. I believe she's also a very diluted tortoiseshell ..Kind of snooty & self centered and maybe about 4 months old.
I've been wanting a calico for a very long time but never actually looked very hard. Yesterday I decided to check Craigslist and wouldn't you know there was an 8 month old (need her color verifies here please!) and a stunning 9 month old black female. I took both. The black kitten I named "Salem" amd she is sooo obnoxiously friendly, just like my Kaya...and I haven't named the "calico" since she's been hiding under my bed since last night so I'm giving her her space.

No name yet, this is my new girl whose color I'm unsure about. This was her CL ad photo. The only pic I have right now besides that is her cowering under my bed

Hazy, who I had to hold still... This is her "you are so far beneath me" look she's always giving

Chispa, the Matriarch, she's not this dark but I tried to fix the picture

My sweet as sugar "Kaya". Whoever dropped her off dropped off an angel. Their loss my gain

Darling Salem

Welcome to TCS, Stacey!  Your girls are so pretty!  I liked the snake story! That must have freaked you out.

Thank you for your compliment !
I actually hunt the copperheads at night to keep my animals and kids safe... Great to have backup lol what does freak me out is when it's pitch dark except for my flashlight and an armadillo an I spook each other LOL

You are very brave! Snakes don't freak me out, but I would never go actually hunting poisonous ones.

Hi Stacy,
Your cats are beautiful.
I'm glad your husband changed his mind and has become a cat lover.
I have only two. An abai

Sorry.
An abandoned siamese called whisky and a black and white street cat called blighty. Neither of them are particularly
affectionate unfortunately except towards each other.

Thank you for the welcomes.
Stewball your cats sound very independent. I appreciate each cat's personality but I need to feel needed so glad I have a couple lovers.. :)
