I think reason 12 should be they make sure you never oversleep. They know what time your alarm goes off and they stand on your head if you don't get up right away. Even on your day off.

Aw geez, Norachan, our cats ARE our alarm clock! Rick persists in setting his cell phone as an alarm, but it's never necessary; the cats make sure that we're awake in plenty of time. And I haven't set an alarm clock in years. I thought about setting my cell last night, but looked around and there were six reasons on the bed as to why it really wasn't a problem. And sure enough, Ms. Pepe started in this morning at 4:45, followed by her brother. And when Mollipop decided to jump on my kidneys, well, I was wide awake in no time.
