So glad PiPi is doing well. He looks so cute on your bed. And he looks happy. So far Bell does not want to go outside unless I am out with her. Next weekend I am going to my daughters house and staying over night We will be home Sunday night. I am going to have a friend check up on my two furbabies. I hope they will be ok and not fight. They have not gotten in to any fights but my gwen trys too start and bell walks away. I bought a calming collar.I read on the cat sight that it helps with stress. I put it on Gwen today and so far it seems to work By the way PiPi is so beautiful.

Hi Judy and judy. My two cats did great when I went to my daughters house. I am so happy. I left them all day and over night. My friend checked in on them . They even seem to be getting along better today. Now I never have to worry about leaving them alone anymore. Happy Easter and happy passover[emoji]128144[/emoji][emoji]128144[/emoji][emoji]128144[/emoji][emoji]128144[/emoji][emoji]128144[/emoji][emoji]128144[/emoji][emoji]128144[/emoji][emoji]128144[/emoji][emoji]128144[/emoji][emoji]128144[/emoji][emoji]128144[/emoji]

Well I have had quite a surprise with Pi-Pi. The weather has finally turned warmer here in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York State. I have opened up my porch again and it has actually been warm enough to sit out there and enjoy the sun. It was originally a screened in porch but some years ago it was glassed in. Several of the glass panels slide back revealing screen and the door does as well. Its just the perfect place for Pi to go and feel almost like he is outside in his back yard where he used to roam freely as a stray or semi-feral. Here's what has surprised me...I had thought that when I opened to the screen he would get so excited he would scratch at it to get out and perhaps even tear it if unsupervised. Not at all. Instead he and Happy (my sweet Shih Tzu) sat by the door and breathed in all the wonderful smells on the spring breeze. Then he stretched out in a patch of sun an slipped off to blissful sleep in the fresh air. Later that day I put Happy on his leash to take him out in the yard to do his very important business. Again, I suspected that there may be a problem when Pi saw us walking out there in his beloved back yard. He did so enjoy roaming out there and trying to catch birds coming to the feeder. But no, he just hopped up on a chair by the screen door and snuggled down watching us. Didn't even come to the door or cry. I WAS AMAZED! I think I now have an official house kitty! However, I have begun teaching him to wear a kitty harness and today was actually able to get it over his head. I haven't fastened it yet. I want him to get used to the feel of it first and not feel threatened by it before I do that. Hopefully within the next month he will start wearing it in the house for a half hour or so a day until I am confident he can venture into the yard on a leash with me.

One more surprise I had was how he took to the Furminator I got for brushing him. He LOVES it and stretches out so I can brush then rolls on one side while I brush the other and then repeats it with the first side. This sweet little black cat never ceases to amaze me!

Oh Judy that is wonderful. you are a good mommy. I think once pi goes out she might not want to stay in all day. As soon as the nice weather came bell was crying by the door to go out. So now he comes in and out all day. So here I go again worrying. But he stays close to the house. Today it is raining so he has no interest on going out. I make sure he is in for the night. so glad to hear about pipi .

Bell is in my bedroom and will not come out. Yesterday we had to bring my daughters dog from conn and we are now babysitting. He is a big Goofy choc lab. We have him unti Sunday. Bell is so afraid of him. I thought bell would have to sleep out side for the first time since jan. So far he is in the bedroom . I don't want him out so I am happy he is in the house. At least he is safe. Hopefully he will get use to the choc lab. My gwen gets along great with the dog. Wish me luck girls.

Much good luck Linda. LOL poor Bell. Pi is now on the porch--in Happy's bed--gazing out the screen door. Its a beautiful day here. This morning he was grooming Hap before we all got up. I took a video and wish I could post it here but can't. Maybe I will find a way.

Stewball: Yes Hap and Pi do share the bed now on a first come first serve basis! LOL!

Linda: what a funny story about Bell and the Lab. Sounds like Bell has decided he likes it in your house anyway. And why not! He has a good thing going.

Now here is a link to that video and I hope it works for both of you. Hap is in the background (white) and Pi in the foreground. Hap was sleeping early one morning before we got up and Pi was lying next to him in my lap. All of a sudden Pi turned and started grooming Hap! Fortunately my iPhone was next to me on the night table and I was able to get this video. Hap woke up when Pi started licking him, turned his head and saw who it was then went back to sleep. The video was shot right after that. Here's the link:
