My Nemo loves cat food. My dog is just like happy. He does not eat. I must have right now 3 bags of different dog foods. I sometimes put a teaspoon of cat food in Nemo dry food just so he can eat it. What kind of food do you cook for happy. He will also eat the dry cat food. Ugh.
I always put Gwens food on the counter top because I don't want Nemo to get at it but now bell eats on the floor so he comes running, I think it is kind of funny but bell can't jump high. Aww he might be to fat to jump up. Bell looks at Gwen and he must say how do you jump up so high.

I'm Thinking of getting a small table or making one, that is about 25 to 30 inches high and wide enough to hold Pi and his bowls of food and water. I'd rather not have him jumping up on my counters or kitchen table.

I had this little rolling TV stand I used to use in my apartment when I lived in NYC. It was just what I needed so I cleaned it up, put caster cups under the casters to keep it stationary, put a placemat and Pi's dishes on it, showed him where they were and voilà! Now his food will be out of Happy's reach. I hope so anyway. I need this to solve the problem because Hap had a small amount of bloody mucus in his stool last night. Today I'll have to call the Vet for an appointment. Maybe he picked up worms from Pi when he had them after all. I took only one sample for the vet to check when I took him Pi's initial sample but I didn't take in a second sample for Hap when I took in Pi's second sample. Or very possibly it's from eating Pi's food as he has been doing recently when I'm not looking. You may recall that I make all of Hap's food and have since he was a pup because he couldn't tolerate ANY brand of canned dog food or kibble. He would get a case of serious runs if he did. Anyway I pray my Happy Boy is OK he is such a love and has been such a good sport about my taking Pi into our little family.

That is a great table to put his food on. I have my Gwens food up high so Nemo can't get it but I can't put bells up high because he can only jump as high as the bed . So I have to make sure he eats before we all go to sleep. Pi pi is adjusting very well to in door life. And so is bell. He does not want to go out any more. Poor happy . I hope he is ok. Maybe when he ate the cat food it hurt his stomach . I would get it checked out. Nemo ate deer poop and got sick. Ugh we have so much deer here. He is ok now . I just was feeding him cooked chicken and rice and he was better the next day. That was a great idea with the tv table.

It's very bad for dogs to eat cat food. not so bad the other way round though, apparently.

Hi Judy stew ball things with my fur babies are doing well .bell has not been out. I can't help feeling so bad. But it is still cold out. He does look out the window but so does my indoor gwen cat. My cats are not best friends but they are good. Every once in awhile gwen will hiss at bell but that is all she does . In two weeks I will be going to my daughter for Easter and I will leave them alone until the next day and coming home around 4:00. I leave them alone now when I go out for couple of hours . I still don't know if I will have my friend check in. I guess I should but I know they will both run away. But I guess she could see if they are ok anyway. I want to be able not to bother anyone. Maybe just this once I will. How are your fur babies doing. How long do you have them. Did you get them together? Here is a picture of gwen and bell. bell is in the back gwen is in the front

I didn't get them together. I got whisky, the abandoned siamese aged about 8 months in June/July 2013 and blighty, black and white street cat aged 2 months in august 2014. Once blighty came out from behind the couch and out of my bedroom whisky accepted him and washed him. Later he beat him up teaching him who's alpha. Now they're very close. I had two cats who didn't like each other but co-existed like your two will. Here's a picture of whisky and blighty.

Stewball I think your two little sweethearts are lovely.

My little Happy has a bad infection in his anal sacs. Lord knows how that happened. Anyway the Vet manually removed the infected material then flushed them with antibiotics. He is now on antibiotics by pill. I give him 1 pill twice a day. We have to see the Vet again next Monday. So glad I took him. It doesn't have anything to do with eating Pi's food though. He appears to be doing well. Am praying the treatment will solve the problem.

Poor happy. I am sure he will be fine. I wonder how it got infected.? I caved in yesterday and let bell out. But I stayed on the deck with him. He was so happy. He was rolling in the grass and smelling the ground and air. When he went to far I called him and he came right back. He only stayed out two hours and came right back in. He slepted the whole day. I should try the harness but I don't know if he would let me get it on him. I might try. Did you ever try the harness on pi? So I am hoping bell does not want to go out today because it is raining out.

Hi Linda. Happy is doing much better on the antibiotics but am only taking him out in the yard until he sees the doctor again on Monday. No long walks at this time.

I got a harness for Pi but it is too small. Will have to return it for size medium. He's a small cat so I first bought a small. I know it's going to be difficult to get him to wear it as he ran away when I tried to get the small one on him. BUT if he wants to go outside again he will have to learn how to wear it. I make a point of showing him how I put one on Happy. Since he always wants to copy what Happy does maybe this will help. I will just have to be patient and try and try until it works. I just can't bring myself to let him loose again with the heavy traffic on my street and reports of coyotes in my woods. Plus he has been cured of worms and the eye infection I don't want those to come back. I will continue with the Frontline monthly because he can even get fleas and ticks walking on a leash in the yard. Glad things are working out so well with Bell.

I don't want bell outside but he has been outside for7 and a half years . I just start feeling guilty when he sees Nemo out there laying on the deck. He slepted all day today. He is so frightened of everything I just don't know how he did it out there all thoses years. You are lucky that pipi is young. He might not ever know what it means to be outside again. Bell is sitting on my couch right next to me and he is like my little shadow . Before Nemo I had a dog named Eddie and he followed me everywhere. He would come in every room with me every time I got up. Now I got bell. Haha aww I just love him.
