Oh boy Stewball I'll bet your heart was

pounding when you saw your cat outside the "netting." I'm guess that is the same thing we call window screens. That was my worry about Pi on my porch when I open the glass to expose the screen. But, so far so good as they say. I have sheer (voile) floor to ceiling curtains out there for privacy but also to be able to see out. People outside can't see in easily unless it's night and the lights are on. He wasn't paying them any attention until he started playing with his paper ball out there. It started to end up behind them and THEN he became aware of them. Drat! Now I knot them up when he plays. He loses interest in them when he's not playing. I'll tell you this, I've certainly had to change the way I live since Pi came into my life. Happy has too and sometimes he's not too happy about it![/

Ohhhhh I think they would have come back to their good mommy. Hopefully before anything bad happened to them. But it didn't and they are home safe and sound so that's wonderful!

Blighty is such a naughty boy. I have a cupboard near my bed that they like to go into and I let them. However at 5am he decided to try and open it. Such a noise of a scratching. I opened the cupboard with my eyes closed and went back to sleep.

Ahh besides the tinned food i give them i also free feed them kibble so they they.rarely wake me. I do however, often wake up trapped each side and I can't move because I may wake them up, perish the thought. Spoilt brats.

Haha I do the same thing. I have one cat on each side of me and the dog at my feet. I sometimes can't move. I free feed them to but my Gwen wakes me up for treats. 5:00 in the morning. She head butts my head so I have to wake up.

Do Pi and Happy wake you up Judy?
Hi there. Looks like I've missed a few days of messages. Pi also gets out of bed (MY bed) between 4:30 and 5 AM. He goes downstairs to his litter box and to knosh on the kibble I always leave in his bowl. I put between a quarter and half cup in his empty bowl each morning around 8 AM and leave it alone until the same time next morning. Sometimes it is all gone and other times there is still a covering in the bottom of the bowl. I limit the amount of kibble because when he had the urinary problems I read that too much dry kibble can lead to urinary trouble. BTW I have been keeping him on 500 MG of vitamin c daily to maintain his urinary health. Did you know cats make their own vitamin c? They do but adding the extra makes the urine more acidic which dissolves blockages. It can't hurt them as it is peed out. He's doing well. Pi will return to my bed after he's been downstairs for about a half hour doing whatever. Once back in bed he nestles on my tummy and wants his head rubbed as he drifts off to sleep until I get up around 7:30. Happy sleeps at my side or feet all night and doesn't get up until I do. He rarely wakes me unless there is a thunder storm or he has to pee which is rare during the night. When Pi returns to my bed he always keeps an eye on Hap as he makes his way to my tummy because sometimes Hap objects with a bark and a fake nip. A fake nip is one in which he bites the air not Pi. Just a warning shot. LOL!

Below is a photo of my new dinner companion. Pi has recently taken to jumping up on the adjacent chair while I eat.

One more thing...I have been working with Pi to get him to wear a harness so I can take him out in the yard as you know. It's going well but he still won't let me fasten it--only put it around his neck. More time needed. However, I have managed to get his collar on. Just for a short time each day as he still tries to get it off. Click on the link below to see his antics!

I need to get him into the harness soon as the weather really is getting lovely and this morning there was a lot of meowing wanting to get out in the yard and chase those chipmunks that run so close to him on the other side of the screen door.

Sounds just like my house . Judy how do u give the vitamin c . I guess you crash it up in his food? That is very interesting . I am very lucky with bell. He loves to be outside and now inside as well. All he does all day is sit right by the door out side and watches all the birds and other small things. He never goes after anything. So far anyway. Last year he brought home 2 rabbits. One was alive in his mouth. I freaked out. And he dropped it and the rabbit ran. bell looked at me and must have said but I bought u a present.haha here is a pic of bell just sitting on my deck all day.

Oh did i have trouble with blighty yesterday. He was supposed to go to the vet. Lol.
He didn't and I ended up with a scratched arm poor baby - blighty not me.
I phoned the vet who laughed. She wasn't surprised. Blighty has an aversion to being picked up. All quiet now, except for my arm which will heal and for which he was forgiven immediately.
Whisky can be popped into the carrier so easily. Blighty came from the streets but he's been with me nearly two years. Oh well. Can even ask the vet to come to me as he hides. It's all fun and games at home.

Wow sorry to here that your arm got all scratched up. Two years and you can't really pick him up. I guess that will be my bell. I can pick him up now but he also scratched me too on my arm when I had to pick him up and put him in the house because the lawn guys were spraying to kill ticks. But we forgive them because we love him.

of course we forgive them. They don't do it on purpose. I don't think he's forgiven me.

Pi scratched my arm back in February when I tried to put him in the pet carrier to go to the vet. I still have a light red 2" scare. It's fading but sure is taking its time to do it.
